Robert Linville Memorial # 36036248
Jerry,Thanks for moving Calloway and Betsie Linville's name over to the Linville Cemetery where they are buried. Robert Linville is also buried in the same cemetery as Calloway and Betsie. Robert death certificate has his date of death as Apr 3,1931. Someone else has written his info and posted his death certif in the Linville Cemetery.

I also have a question about Corintha Jane Carnes Linville (Robert's first wife). Do you or does any of your relatives know where she is buried.???She died sometime after her last son Lincoln was born Nov 1886.
Thanks

Old Linville Cemetery
Jerry
You have listed in the Old Linville cemetery
Betsie Yeager and Calloway Linville
Robert Linville. They are actually in
Linville cemetery which is up on the hill of the old home place. There are 9 graves.
The Old Linville Cemetery and Linville cemetery are 2 different cemeteries.
Linville cemetery is listed in findagrave.com.

RE: Highland Cemetary
I am not sure if I answered this memo from you about Highland Cemetery. Highland is located on Saltwell Road in Huntington. Spring Hill is the one that is located on Norway Ave., or sometimes referred to 20th Street because they join at the bottom of the hill.

RE: Whitten's
Yes, Cora was my great grandfather's sister. I have a few photo's of her also that I have come across if you would like to see them. But I can not put them online because I swore they would not end up online.

RE: Highland Cemetary
No, Highland is not on 20th Street. It's off of Saltwell Rd., which is only a block from Rt. 60 after you turn onto Washington Blvd.

I walked to the end of the cemetery and there were mostly Canterbury's buried at the lower end. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Let me talk to my dad and I will find out exactly who her children were, right now I know that Gearldean Brumfield Holley, Kessel Brumfield, William (Bill) Brumfield were three of her children. Kessel and Bill have already passed and Gearldean is my grandmother and still alive. But I will update information as I get some more.
The hummer tracks were what we saw when we walked the hill. Last year we took our jeep, but there was no way that was gonna be possible this year so we walked it. Trust me long walk and when you get up there, all you want to do is rest. LOL

I wanted to thank you so much for posting the gravesite and cemetery on this site. Pink was my great grandmother and it will mean alot to my grandmother to see her picture of the gravesite since she has been unable to go on top of the hill for several years now. I have some more pics to post with yours, my father, son and I were just there June 6th and took pics. Thank you again. And I am glad to finally know the name of the cemetery there. It is quite a walk up that hill because where the rain has washed out most of the road it is just to hard to even take a SUV up there.
Thank you again very much.

Yes, Cora is my grandpa's aunt. Her parents were George and Martha (Estep) Whitten. I know they lived in a farm condiered the Old Whitten Farm that is suppose to still be in the family. I actually have a very old picture of it with them on the front porch. He middle name was ann. I would really appreciate it if you could put the whittens information on here. That would mean so much to me. I dont know the area there, I never lived there, but have visited WV once. I have been trying different sights to find out who gore's grandpa is and for some reason all they say on him was that he taight his kids how to appreciate money that he lost all his in the great depression, but im going to keep looking, just gonna take a break for right now. I have Mary Woodrum's father as being Robert Gore and mother as Louisa. Does the name bernie ring a bell as the man that you talked to that lived by your grandmother? or roma? those are the only 2 sons that I could think of it could be.

I have tried to research her side back and couldnt get that to far, theres not a lot of info that i can find on that family. any info that you have I would love to have. Please.
