|Linda Kier||RE: Old Shiloh Cemetery, Dexter, TX|
Well I wish we had had your information. The only directions we found online were very vague. We ended up spending two hours driving around asking locals. We finally found someone that had a key to the gate to the field bordering the cemetery. Then we spend two hours scouting the woods till we finally found it. We might be able to get a group to clean up the cemetery, but I guess we will have to find the owner of the land. The stones were in great condition. I wonder if the groups that check on the cemetery keep them clean?

Dear Cathy and Thomas,
Thank you for posting a picture of Knox Robertson's headstone. It is a shared headstone with Cloveen. She was my grandmother's sister. Her maiden name was Cloveen Dixie Anderson. Can you add her to the photo? Her parents, Oliver M and Estelle Lee "Estylee" Jackson Anderson are also buried in Beryl Cemetery. Thank you!

Thank you again for all your work in providing me the list of my Lewter and beyond kin! I have them all posted with credit given to the two of you! I had taken a few of the gravestone photos a few years ago when I was in that area but did not have all of them! I was so proud to stand beside my GGG grandfather's gravestone (Jonathan Lewter). You are so appreciated! Terry

|Diann Dittemore Peterson||Oney Etc.|
Thank you for your quick response to my request to use your pictures. I am confused when you say do not place them on my Ancestry.com account but I can upload them to my family tree. Can you clarify? I do understand all of the hard work, time and money you have put into your genealogy and I wish I could do the same. I also descend from many Revolutionary War Soldiers, just not William Blythe but I do descend from his wife that married my Great Grandfather John Cain and I descend from their child. Thanks again, Cathy.

I wanted to thank you for all of the info, pictures and memorials to my Cain, Gentry, Conner family and was wondering if I may for my own private and personal use put the pictures you've shared of Oney & her related family? I am a novice and do this purely out of love and respect for my family. I am the 4th great granddaughter of John and Celia Cain and my great Grandfather William Philemon Conner is my line to my Grandmother Katheryn Dittemore whose mother, Mary ann Conner Dittemore was David Lewis Conner's daughter. To find out that my Great Grandmother lost two husband's, including Wm. Blythe, a Revolutionary Soldier prior to her marrying John Cain my Great Grandfather was heartbreaking. I am just continually astonished at what our Great and strong Ancestors had to overcome just for me to be born. Thank you, Diann Dittemore Peterson

|Tom and Nancy Gawthrop||Mary (Combs) Shreves picture.|
The picture you have of her headstone on Find a Grave memorial #20352824 we would like to copy to place on Ancestry. Every photo we have copied from Find a Grave of other relatives we have "painted" who submitted the photo and the Find a Grave contributor number on each photo. We would of course do the same to this one. Mary Combs is a relative, albeit a distant one. The Combs, Cowman's and Thurman's are all related, and Tom's great grandma was a Thurman. Our tree is private, because of all the pirating of pictures going on (people downloading the photo's and then resubmitting them as their own). It got old, hence any pictures we post will be identified with the contributor's name, and their contributor number if from Find a Grave. Thank you for your consideration. Nancy Gawthrop

Thanks for the permission to use your photos. You said you 5th great grandmother was buried in the Winchester Cemetery in Memphis. This was the first cemetery there and most of the bodies were moved to Elmwood Cemetery about 1874. Elmwood Cemetery is my very favorite cemetery in Memphis and they have wonderful family files there. If you want to email me your information on your grandmother I will see what I can find for you. My email is email@example.com.

Cathy and Thomas,
Thank you very much for the update on Grady Earl Jones' name. He was my uncle. His son Jerry Earl Jones and I appreciate your work on his behalf. As soon as I can get someone over to my house to do whatever it is you're supposed to do on the computer, I'll get the cleaned up tombstone picture to you.
Grady wished to have part of his ashes buried at the foot of his Mother, Marlin Jones'
grave. The rest were scattered over his farm in Arkansas by his son Jerry.
