RE: Paul Lee
All the information that I have about Paul's siblings comes from Census information and Paul's parents moved around quit a bit. According to various censuses, Paul had siblings named Jaynell (male) born about 1908, Henry L. born about 1911, and Mary Irma Lee born 1919.

Jaynell or maybe Giles, drops off the face of the earth as does Henry L. Lee. All of these people appear in the 1920 Pike Co. Ga Census, head of household listed as William J. Lee, Paul's father.

In 1930, they are living in Polk County Georgia with just Paul and Mary Irma Lee listed as the children. I would be interested to learn who Mary Irma married but have yet to figure it out.

James William Jefferson Lee, Paul's father had a few siblings but only one brother named Emmett H. Lee. Emmett is buried at New Hope Baptist Church in Pike County, same church as my ancestor Henry Clay Harris and Sarah Melissie Harris Lee.

Emmett only had three sons, James Marvin Lee died an infant. John Joseph Lee moved to Florida where he is buried and finally Frank F. Lee. I do not know where Frank F. Lee is buried but according to the Georgia Death index, he died on May 20, 1998 in Thomaston, Upson County, Ga. I believe his is buried there or in Barnesville but I have so far been unable to locate his grave or even an obituary for him so I don't know who he married or if he had any children.

I don't have an obituary for any of Frank's siblings except for John Joseph Lee who died in 2009. He is only listed as being survived by his children. One of his two sons listed as surviving him as since passed away as I have found his grave, also in Florida.

So unless your son in law is descended from Frank F. Lee, that is really the only way I can see it happening.

Ola Freeman, Fairburn, GA
Hi Nancy!

Thank you so much for the photo of Aunt Ollie and Uncle Tom's grave!! Ola is my great-grandmother's sister and I remember my grandmother taking us to visit her in Fairburn a couple of times when I was a child. It was like going back in time.

Noticed your last name is Freeman--are you related to Tom?

Thanks again for sharing!

RE: Paul Lee
I appreciate the kind offer. I have quit a few relatives who live in Pike County myself. I have been quit a few times. My family lived in the part that today would be right on the Spalding, Pike, Lamar Co. Line. Paul Lee's Great Grand father was the oldest brother of my ancestor Henry Clay Harris. His name was James Pyron Harris. We believe he is one of the unmarked graves in the Harris Cemetery which is just about 200 yards inside the Lamar Co. Border. James Pyron Harris died under mysterious circumstances and so did his wife around the same time. His children were raised by their grand parents. James Pyron Harris appears in the 1860 Pike County census as James P. Harris with his wife Martha, this being Martha Smith. They have two children in the census, Susan E. Harris, and William M. Harris. In the 1870 Census, the children are living with John Smith and his wife, the parents of Martha Smith Harris, here is where we find the third child, Sarah Melissie Harris who was the Grandmother of Paul as she married Joseph J. Lee. We have been trying to track down a descendant of James Pyron Harris to find out if there is any family story that has been passed down about what happened to him as we are currently at a loss.

RE: Paul Lee
Thank you for checking. I was hoping Paul had a wife or some children buried near him. I would really like to get in touch with a member of this family but so far have not been able to track any down.

I appreciate your efforts.

Thank you for getting the picture for Paul Lee. I am curious if he was buried in a plot with anyone else?

Thanks again,

What two great shots! How did you do it so quickly? We just made these photo requests today.

How glad we are to see these graves and because we live in Texas - it's only because of you that we can.

If you have no objection, we plan to share your photos with family next Saturday with family.

Gratefully Judy
