RE: Ursula Hinnen's death notice
I read the old papers looking for pioneer obits. I have a facebook page of obits and stories from the St. Joseph papers 1880s.

RE: Thank you for getting the picture
I see that you found a better photo of the grave stone. I am very happy for you. I wonder how it ended up with the damage it now has...

RE: Thank you for the lovely message
Gail, I was touched by your aunt's story, so I was happy to leave her a note. I am sure she was lovely and courageous from what I read. Sharon Gammell

LLoyd Baker
Hello again Gail, I want to thank for taking the time to go out to Riverview Heights cemetery and taking a photo of Lloyd's grave site. I was over there last summer for some of my other family members and really enjoyed the visit. As I do my family research I keep finding more of my extended family there in the tri-city area.
Sincerely John

Hello Gail, thank you for looking for Lloyd. When I do a request here in the Puyallup area and come across a grave plot with no headstone I verify as you did by those next to the person I am looking for, then I take and post the grave site photo with a note that there is no marker.
Sincerely John

You speak French? So does my wife! It is rare to find another who speaks French here in the Tri Cities....

Yes, my wife and I live in Kennewick. I have been here 18 years. As you can see, I have this "Grave Condition" that has turned out to be a great hobby. I can't pass a cemetery without taking photos.... Art

Gail, we appreciate your work. Could you please remove the two duplicate photos you posted on Lamia's memorial? Those 2 photos were already there and will move back to the top if you remove your two duplicates. Thanks, thanks, thanks.

RE: Rolf Hanson
Hi Gail,
How incredible. It looks like my search for Rolf Hanson has been answered.

If you could please send me your private email I would like to go more into the search and relationship with Rolf.

Thank you so much for responding. I can't tell you how excited I am.

Rolf Hanson
I have been searching for a "lost" relative - Rolf H. Hanson. The information I have is that he was a civilian contractor / engineer and was a POW during WW11 in a Phillipine POW camp.

Is this Rolf Hanson you have pictured possibly the Rolf Hanson I am looking for?

Your reply would be so appreciated.

RE: Thank you!!
You are quite welcome. I had a very productive day and photographed 3 whole cemeteries! (plus a few photo requests in some others) so I'd call it a GREAT day. We won't have too many more fall days like this so I took full advantage!

I'll take all of them, if it is convenient. Do you have them in a file on your computer? Hope you aren't making a special trip to the cemetery.

Phone Call

I called Muellers. In the furneralrecord I have, it doesn't state there is a head stone for Hazel Lauritzen. If you see a Stanley Lauritzen marker, then she may be buried with him. If you do not see any Lauritzen, then both do not have markers. Her first husband's marker is in Santa Ana, Ca. I found that out. Muellers said that the cemetery has a list of people. It is possible, there are no stones. You would have to check with the list. If you don't see a gravemarker, then thank you for all you have done for me, and I am sorry for this confusion. THank you for your random act of kindness.

Gail Just to let you know
Just to let you know: Hazel Lauritzen and Stanley Lauritzen are in the Columbia Memorial Park because I have Hazel's National Furneral Record. It says the cost for her was: 1,685.00 for merchandize, and the total was over 3,500 dollars in 1994.
Maybe Stanley had previously paid for the plot. I just wanted to tell you so you did not think I was leading you on. They are there, maybe there is no headstone. I will find out next week by callind up the mortuary.Thank you again.
