RE: William H Hoffman
Actually, that may be a Civil War marker instead - most of the Spanish American ones say Sp. Am. War beneath them. Hmm...the plot thickens :)

It's my pleasure, Pam. If I'm not mistaken, that's a Spanish American War stone, which might help narrow down his birth-death dates. I'm not too far away from there, so let me know if there's anybody else you're desperately seeking, and I shall take a wander!

RE: Anna (Mershon) Smith
Hi. My mother is a Merrell and I'm related to Anna through Jemima Smith Merrell. Anna is a 7th g-grandmother to me. I'm happy to sponsor her. I consider it a privilege to do so but please continue to maintain her memorial. :) How are you related to Anna? Are we cousins?

George Snyder/Fairmount Cemetery
Hi Jersey Girl,

I spoke with the superintendent at Fairmount Cemetery in Phillipsburg, NJ. He said that George Snyder is buried in the east side of the cemetery in an unmarked grave along the fence line. There is no plot number and he is unsure of where he is buried in that area.

Sincerely, Kevin

We are definitely related then. My mother's mother was born Helen Sanko. Ann was her older sister. They were both the children of Nicholas and Anastasia (Jenny) Sanko. I have a list of all of the siblings with their birth and death dates if you are interested.

Sorry for the double entry. I believe his daughter is managing her brother and their granddaughter Memorials at Rest Haven. I will ask her since she is their daughter and closer relative than I, if she wants to contact you to have you transferred him to her. Thanks.

I followed the ancestry.com link for my great grandfather and it showed that you posted the link. Are you related to him? I noticed that you are a Jersey girl as well!

Dear Pam (aka Jersey Girl), thanks so much for the kind words that you sent to me regarding my grandmother's memorial. That was so sweet of you. If you're ever in New Jersey, please let me know. I'd love to take you to lunch and talk about our respective family trees. Thanks again. All the best, Jim. PS - Great screen name! :-)

I'm sorry that was my mistake. I will get a picture for you. I hate the people who just take a picture of the cemetery name and no stone. This is find a grave not find the name of the cemetery.

Headstone

I wanted to post a picture of Ruby James's stone. I went to her memorial page and there are 6 pictures. 3 of the pictures are of 3 differ stones. The other 3 are of the name of cemetery and cemetery regs and a long distance picture of the entrance. You can only post 3 pictures of the front page. If you ask the people who posted the others pictures to remove them I'll get a picture for on the stone so you can read the name.

I would ask, if you are in that cemetery, please take a picture of the headstone. He is, probably, with his first wife, Geneva. Thank you.

Hi
Don't mind at all. In fact, it is very disappointing to me when someone doesn't leave a token or flower on a memorial, especially when they add a photo or want me to add information.

I wasn't offended at all about the photo, but did want it removed. Some people just throw up a memorial and then forget about it. I like to take care of the ones I created for someone. Sometimes it's the only thing left of them.

So think nothing about it, and have a great weekend. And thanks again.

Concerning the link above, would you please remove the photo you added? It is a copyright photo from his obituary which is not allowed on Findagrave, plus it is a bad photo.

Thanks.

Thank you for posting this online. He is my Great/Great Uncle, my grandmothers youngest brother. I never knew him except from her family stories. Are you related? If so, please email me at hljordan_00@yahoo.com. I would love to know more of him.

Runkels at Mt. Herman
I'm finishing up the photos for this cemetery this morning. There are other Runkel photos that I've added that you may have an interest in viewing, so check them out! :D

Emily Runkel photo request
I am hoping to get to Mt. Herman sometime in the next few weeks, but in the meantime, I noticed that you are also looking for her husband Richard. According to Cooper county records,
http://www.cooper.mogenweb.org/Cemeteries/MT_HERMAN_BAPTIST_CHURCH_AND_CEMETERY.pdf

her husband is in the same cemetery, listed as R.R. Runkel. He has been added in findagrave in that cemetery as R.R. Rinkel. I don't know if that's a typo or if that is the actual way his name is shown on the stone (if one exists). Hopefully, I'll get out there soon and be able to take some pics to come up with the answer to that.
