I am Menzo Kapp's Granddaughter, youngest daughter of Bert Kapp. I don't have any pictures anymore but it was wonderful to find this. My son has all my pictures of grandmother Hattie and Pop.

I was so happy to receive your reply. Do you happen to have a facebook account or a LinkedIn account? It would be easy to exchange contact information through either of those sites. If not, let me know and I'll figure out another way. I look forward to sharing this information with you. We share an incredible heritage from our Kapp ancestors.

|Jedd Parkinson||Menzo Kapp information|
I noticed in one of your posts that you appear to be the son of Blaine Jacob Kapp who died in 1955. If that is correct, your father was my grandmother's first cousin. My mother's older brothers knew "Uncle Menzo", "Aunt Hattie" and their three sons pretty well, including your father.
Menzo's mother (Geessien Boekweg Kapp - "Grandma Kapp") lived in my grandparents' home for the last 17 years of her life so my mom's family would get together with the extended Kapp family frequently.
My mom's oldest brother also knew the Devries family well, especially Aunt Hattie's father Bowe Devries and her brother Henry Devries.
I'm compiling a book about the Kapp-Boekweg family and I am wondering if you may have any photos of Menzo or Hattie. I have been able to track down some photos of your father as well as your uncle Bert Kapp. However, I am still trying to track down photos of Darrell.
Let me know if you happen to have any photos or any stories about the family. I realize you were very young when your father died so you probably didn't know them well. I would also be happy to send you a copy of the book once it's complete - I think you'll find the story of the Kapp and Boekweg families to be a fascinating one. The book will also include some information about the Devries family so that may also be of interest to you.
Jedd Parkinson (your distant cousin)

Good morning Blaine,
On Find A Grave it is not possible, at this point in time, to add links for the children FROM the parents, you can only link TO parents. That is probably worded funny but I hope it makes sense.
I have contacted the people who are managing Rhett and Todd's memorials and asked them to link to their father Lyle.
Thanks for the additional information.

The funny thing is she is buried right behind our grandparents, great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents.

Thank you for your time in finding the spot where great grandma is buried. We will be working on getting a headstone for her. My aunt says that her original grave washed out and she had to be moved. Is this the new site or the old (or is she crazy??!) Thanks again.

Thank you so much for the headstone photos. I really appreciate your time and care in taking these. Seeing them adds a finishing touch to genealogy work. Would you mind if I use the photos in my personal genealogy tree?

Blaine you really went the extra mile helping with this record. I didn't even know she was in Salt Lake, so thanks also to Brigham City for their cooperation. This is what's so great about findagrave.com and getting the photos in place. You really can be certain of the information. Thanks, again!

If you don't mind me asking too much......
I have two requests out there for Ogden City Cemetery and one at Washington Heights in South Ogden and one more in Brigham City.
Ila Morrell Briggs Hutchings and her 2nd Husband Spencer Hutchings are in Ogden City
Heidi Morrell is in Brigham City
Eva Morrell Downs is at the Washington Height Cemetery.
If this is too much, just leave it be and I am sure other volunteers will step up.

Thanks Blaine, and thanks for your continued help.
Scot Miller (a cousin) is also at Ben Lomond and is the son of Merrill's sister LaRee. He died in an accident just after he got married and left behind a pregnant wife.
I have posted Merrill's obit, thanks for the link.

Thank you very much. My Uncle Merrill was just burried there last Saturday so it was good that you were able to even get the photo. Did you happen to notice the other Morrell photo I requested. Alonzo "Lonnie" Dee Morrell.
I also have a request out there for Scot Miller.

I would like to maintand the Higley's. Thank you so much. Have a great day.
