Elizabeth King
Hello! Thank you so much for helping to provide information on cemetery records! I am looking into the possibility of Marshall County Kings being related to me. I am specifically looking for a Cloe King from the: US Census, 1850, MS, Marshall, Marshall County, northern division
Jackson King, 28, m, House Carpenter, born VA (abt. 1822)
Mary, 24, f, born TN, cannot read/write, (born abt. 1826)
Ann E., 2, f, born MS (born abt. 1848)
Andrew C. 6 months, m, born MS
Cloe, 75, f, born VA
Nancy Logan, 32, f, born VA
George M. Logan, 10, m, born TN
Mary E., 5, f, born TN

Not sure this Cloe King is my missing Cloe/Chloe or Rhoda Chloe (Gunn) King. Saw the Elizabeth King but couldn't read the words on the stone. Can you help me with the words on her stone or on any other King stones in the area? Thank you VERY much! I appreciate your help & your work for the rest of us! Sincerely, MaryPat King

Lockhart Cemetery
I also having been trying to locate Lockhart Cemetery for several years and visit some of my family connection.I have spoken to all that would have knowledge about the cemeteries in Marshall County and lived there all my life and they have heard of Lockhart Cemetery, but they have never been able to establish the exact location. The area seems to be the boundary of Hwy 72-Red Banks Rd.andCayce Rd.This area has grown {farming-housing} over the years and it possible the cemetery is no longer there.Billy Jones

Hi, I see where you entered the people in Lockhart Family Cemetery in Marshall County, Mississippi. There are a few photo requests there and no memorials have any photos yet. Do you have any idea where this cemetery is?

Thanks,
Nikki

RE: Amanda Stone
Thanks for your reply, I always try to get errors corrected when I find them. So maybe this will get corrected. Just curious tho, are you saying that the two cemeteries are the same graveyard but has two different names?????
I have found several that had two names but eventually got them merged.

I am not familiar with that area so I do not know.

RE: Starnes in Slayden, Ms
Thank you very much for the information, I am under the general inpression that most of the Starnes family in this area, North Miss, came from the Lafayette county area, My Starnes connections come from nearby, Union county, and I found a census record of an Adam Starnes and Sarah M. Starnes that have Daley G, Starnes as a child, they lived in McNairy Co, Tenn. at the time with the mother having roots in Miss. My great grandfather was Daley Gipson Starnes, the dates are not precise but not off by much with a birthday of feb 1890, instead of the feb 1888, that is on his tomb, do you see alot of dates not matching in your searches? I thank you again, any info is a great help. Ronnie
