 | RE: Isaac & Pearl Staples You really can't see much with a wide angle - its rows and rows and floors and floors. What I will say is that if you go on their web site you will be AMAZED at the architecture etc. I'm just not sure how my little camera could do it justice. IF you see something on the web site you'd like me to take a photo of and add to their page....just let me know

 | Dr George Means I attached my photo to his memorial also. I do not believe there was a larger headstone because we would have photographed it also had there been.
The cemetery records listed Myra's name as Minnie, in case you wanted to note that.
The cemetery location was listed as Main section, Block 3, Lot 3 for George.

 | RE: PERRY CHANCE I HAVE WENT DOWN AND LOOKED AT SOME OF THE OLD MARKERS AT ALLIANCE CITY CEMETERY, AND THERE ARE ALOT OF THEM BEFORE 1870 BUT THERE ARE NO RECORDS BEFORE THEN, SO THE PERSON YOU ARE LOOKING FOR COULD BE IN ALLIANCE CEMETERY.Added by dadi on Aug 05, 2009 5:37 PM | |

 | RE: PERRY CHANCE As far as I know there are no other records for Alliance City Cemetery before 1870, but that does not mean there wasn't some people buried there before that. We do have a couple of older cemeterys in the area and maybe that is what it is instead of the city cemetery. I wish I could help you more , if I find out anything I will let you know. | King Staples Hi Bruce!
I could not locate the footstone with dates, but I am planning on returning (with a more specific location for the site), and see if I can find the stone. It is an old cemetery, and too many of the stones have sunk into the turf. I'll e-mail you if I can come up with something.
Regards,

 | Boehner/Oak Ridge Hi - glad to have been of help! I just happened to have that photo of the Boehner's from last July on a CD - that's why I was able to respond so quickly! (Ha, but I haven't been quick about getting them on the site...)
Leonard's wife Barbara, his daughter Christine Alice and children/infants John, Henry, and another John are also buried in the same plot. I have asked the person who originally entered the listings to correct all the spellings of their last name so that should be done in a couple of days. Oak Ridge records had one heck of a time getting their last name spelled right! Please check back later and they should all be searchable under the Boehner spelling. Thanks.Added by BjJ on Mar 28, 2009 10:50 PM | |
