Dale Shirley
Mary Catherine Graves, Shirley, Whealdon
Hi JiniLee,
I just read your blessing for Mary Catherine Whealdon, who is my Gr. Grandmother, Mary Catherine Shirley. Mary C. married my Gr Grandfather Jack Breese Shirley abt. 1880, probably Benton Co. Ore.

This is maybe my first message to someone who might be researching this particular Graves line. Could you share your connection to Mary Catherine(Cassie) with me.

I am still researching the death, date, and burial site for Jack Breese Shirley, b 1840, Montgomery Co. Ill. I think, he died around 1897 in Marion Co. Oregon. Death info is difficult to find during this time period in Oregon.

Dale Shirley
I live in the Seattle, WA area.

Robert Campbell
RE: Ethel Maude Campbell Cook
Thank you for the response:) Ethel died March 29, 1908 and is buried in the Raymore Cemetery in Missouri. She was the daughter of Joseph Campbell and married M.M. Cook. She had a daughter and a son and then passed away at such an early age. 26 years old. I know the kids lived with Joseph after Ethel's death, so I was trying to find out how she died, and what happened to her husband? Not quite sure why the kids were raised by their grandparents? Thank you again for any information you may have.

So many questions, so many miss-matched answers.
Hi Jini, My name is Kirk Hughes, Greatgrandson of Nathan Hughes Memorial# 79804326 and Elizabeth "Eliza" Charlotte (Swick) Hughes Memorial# 79804501. GGreatgrandson of William "Willie" Brown Harmon and Mary Margaret "Maggie" (Walters) Harmon Memorial# 73290197, GGGreatgrandson of David Harman Memorial# 72959350 and Barbary Ellen (Hayward) Harman Memorial# 72959320. Wow, that's a mouthful.
First off I love the pictures of Barbary and David's grave stone, was glad to see her name spelled correctly, I keep finding different versions on different form filled out by family members. Is it possible that the engraver misspelled the last name as Harman instead of Harmon?
I hope to get up there one day and see the cemetery for myself, my father remembers it from when he was young. If you have any other pictures of Hughes/Swick/Rife/Harmon/ I would love to see them.
Thanks for the great work
