Hi Kitty, I am glad to help. I wanted to get that other pic for you but the office lady was not there that day to help me to find the other grave. I will check again on it the next time i am there.

You've listed several of my ancestor's graves and I'd love to know if we are related . I also saw a question about a Mamelia Camden that maybe I can answer for you .

My husband and I have finished searching Parkwood Cemetery to fulfill photo requests, but could not find Kenneth or Irma Gill's markers. If you call the cemetery office and ask for the location of their markers, I will try again to find them for you. Also, I noticed that Kenneth just died this past spring, You might also want to check if a marker has been placed for him yet. LShue

I found 6 more members of the Gill family in Parkwood Cemetery and created/added memorial pages to Find A Grave .

I transferred Earl and Margaret Gill to you. I have also found other Gills in Parkwood Cemetery and created memorial pages for them. Let me know if any of these are part of your family and if you would like any of these other memorial pages transferred to you as well. Shue

Yes, there was a marker for Margaret. I missed adding it when I created her memorial page, but have corrected my oversight now. Would you like these memorial pages transferred to you if they are your relatives?

|LShue||Gills in Parkwood Cemetery|
Today while looking for markers to fulfill photo requests in Parkwood Cemetery, I found markers for Earl and Margaret Karfgin Gill. I noticed that Kenneth's middle name was also Karfgin. Are these his parents? I took a photo of each of their markers and created memorial pages for them. Shue

You're welcome. I am in search of Kelleys of Virginia, so this request hit home. I don't know where this family fits into my tree, but I'd love to learn more about them to see. Feel free to email me with more details. Perhaps there is more information to share.

Feel free to take info from my memorial and then let me know and I'll delete it. Marion Whiteford's daughter, Carole married my cousin, Allen Mitzel and Marion's brother Raymond married my sister-in-law. Marion, and her parents were my parents/my neighbors. Small world.

|Connie||RE: Gladys. Rinehart|
I debated on whether I should upload that headstone since it didn't have Gladys' name on it. I know it's confusing, but I did leave a caption under the photo explaining the connection. I also sent the contributor asking her to add similar message to the NOTE field of the memorial.
Typically if I find plot where someone is buried and their is no headstone, I take a picture of empty space where their headstone would be. Since there was already a headstone in that spot I didn't know what I wanted to do.
Out of curiosity, is Gladys related to Emma?
If you prefer I will remove the photo. I don't mind at all. Let me know.

|Michael V Drachman||RE: Luanna Neff Roach|
There may be more to this story,,, see Luana Neff,, same cemetery..
The memorial you asked for photo's of is the older of the 2 and actually has precedence (John Wanke's). The other mentioned above was done later under the maiden name, Neff, a headstone exists with the correct dates.... but the memorial was entered b.dt 1943.. This is a Skettie-something or other's memorial, something to do with spaghetti..
Now.. Names in stone says Luana Neff Roach is buried exactly where I took the shots...There is nothing there.. The other memorial is not listed in Names in stone.. so the saga continues.
I have sent this info to both contributors,, I have asked Skettie where the other headstone sits.. but nothing yet.. let you know if I here something.. His memorial should merge to John Wanke's memorial..

MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER, MARY ANN HOGAN, MARRIED JOHN HENRY LINTON AT THE HOME OF GEORGE HOGAN IN BEDFORD COUNTY, VIRGINIA. WHEN MARY ANN'S BROTHER, WILLIAM HARVEY HOGAN, A FUNERAL RECORD INDICATES THAT THE FATHER OF THE DECEASED AS GEO. HOGAN. IT APPEARS THAT GREEN HOGAN PREFERRED THE NAME GREEN AS OPPOSED TO GEORGE.
A SON WAS NAMED GREEN BUTLER HOGAN. ADDITIONAL
RESEARCH IS WARRANTED. IT IS STATED THAT GREEN HOGAN FILED & RECEIVED A MONTHLY ALLOWANCE FOR
HIS SERVICE DURING THE SPANISH-AMERICAN WAR. MILITARY RECORDS MIGHT PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AS TO THE FULL NAME OF GREEN HOGAN.
