|Bob Leader||RE: Beardsley's|
Thank you so much on the Beardsley information. It is much appreciated. It really never dawned on me that my 3rd great grandfather, Horace Beardsley had brothers and sisters.
I recall my grandmother talk about her great grand parents when I was a child. My grandma was 3 (going on 4) when Horace died in 1891.

Thank you so much for the transfer of the Beardsley graves, and the info on Horace Beardsley. There is information there that I never knew before such as his mother's maiden name. Bob

|Dick H.||M. C. LeMieux|
The update you suggested has been made. However, I believe that his date of birth is 1836, not 1840 as listed in your bio of him, for these reasons.
His age you give at death is 79 and the 1910 census record gives his age as 73. And, the DOD age agrees with the cemetery record. All these things point to 1836 as his DOB. Therefore, I made what I consider the necessay changes to his memorial. If you disagree, please feel free to contact me.

|Laurie LaPage||Shirley Legros|
Hi, I was checking out requests in my area and noticed this one. However, it seemed wrong since there haven't been any burials in the old Fort Covington cemetery in about 80 years So I looked at Shirley Legros memorial page and her obituary states she was buried in the old St. MARY's cemetery. You may want to edit your request? Take care,LLaPage

Henry and Concurrence are my 7th great grandparents. They are each listed in two different cemeteries in Killingworth: Old Killingworth and Evergreen Cemetery. Wonder which is the correct information. Shirley Jones

I see that this memorial is maintained by you,
(Find A Grave Memorial# 26834427)
are you a relative? The reason for my contacting you at this time is that Esther VanDerSchaegen just passed away Wed 3rd of October 2012. I created a memorial for her today. My sister was married to their son Kenny and I have known the family since the early 50s. I'll keep in touch,

Julius A Town is my Great Grand Uncle and I was wondering if you could send me a jpg file of the photo you posted to his Find A Grave memorial. I would greatly appreciate it. Is this a relative? Are we cousins? Thanks! Claudia

|Linda Burleigh||Morris & Susannah Baker|
I have been to the Burns cemetery several times and have never been able to find Morris or Susannah's stones. They are a part of my husband's family, so I have wanted those pictures as well. Several stones are on the ground and they may well have been there but I don't believe they are now. I will try again when the overgrowth has died down in the winter. I will be surprised if found, however.

You're very welcome!
By the way, according to the Oakwood Cemetery office, Clarissa Crane Whited is listed as "Clausia" or "Claussa", and she died or was buried on August 11, 1908. (I was copying from a computer screen on the other side of a desk, and thinking back I'm not sure which entry I wrote down - sorry!)

|Cathy Porter-Maynard||FYI: Photographs of Chauncey and Sophronia Crane.|
F.Y.I.: I've updated the Find-A-Grave Memorial (# 61413399) for Chauncey E. Crane; and, added a photograph of Mr. Crane which was recently shared with me.
Feel free to copy the picture for your files, if you'd like. I've also added a picture of his wife, Sophronia. I also plan to update her Find-A-Grave Memorial when I have more time.
QUESTION: Would you possibly know of anyone who has copy of Chauncey Ellis Crane's obituary, which was written by Oric Whitehead? I would also appreciate a copy of the "Fording Story" (regarding the tragic Maynard/Crane drownings in the flooding Big Sioux River) which was published in the Sioux City newspaper. I would love to add these items to the Find-A-Grave page for Chauncey E. Crane.

|Michael Tighe||RE: Crane Memorial|
No Problem, She's my great great great great grandmother on my Mother's Father's Mother's Side. I just don't know why I didn't upload her headstones wheen I uploaded Chauncey Crane's headstone, while back. Could you tell me if someone is buried under that rot iron box that is the size of a casket, that is fairly close to the entrance to the Richland Cemetery. It is so overgrown with weeds, that I'd like to bring my weed eater up, after the weather clears to trim the grass inside the rot iron possible grave, so to what is in the grave, but I wouldn't know who to ask for permission to trim the grass, and maybe to run a chainsaw through some of the bushes that conceal graves, the graves are not my family that I know of, but why no one ever trimmed those shrubs before now, is a puzzle to me.

Just to let you know. I am working on transcribing the entire cemetery and I will add the other members of the Town family not already listed. If you want them transferred let me know.
