|Donna Skinner Shuey||RE: James L. Jones|
Yes, records show he is buried in Section L, Lot 31 - same as his wife. I assume since his wife died first he placed a marker for her and maybe when he died there was no one to add his name to the marker. ??? Only my thoughts. Date of burial was listed as March 16, 1910.
He was listed as 81 years of age and his name was James Leslie Jones.
She was listed as Mrs. J. L. Jones, no record of age, burial date of Nov 6, 1894 in the same lot as above.
Glad to help out anytime.

You left a photo request for a JA Busbee, was his name James Allen Busbee?
I took some photos of this cemetery last year, I haven't put them all online yet. It's a big cemetery and there are also many unmarked graves.
I found a photo of the wife of James Allen Busbee, her name was Sarah Jane.
If this is one you want, let me know. I don't seem to have one of her husband, maybe he doesn't have one? (Sometimes one spouse will put a monument up for his deceased spouse, but when they die there is nobody left to put one up for them.)

I have uploaded two of the Shockey photos you requested. Sarah Janet Shockey does not have a gravestone currently. The original has been lost but I believe a replacement is being made to mark her grave.

Just wanted to let you know that I fulfilled the 2 photo requests for stones that have recently been restored. In my older pictures, these 2 stones were broken, face down, mostly buried so I had no idea what were on these stones.
Virginia Busby - Mount Vernon Cemetery
Isabel Busby - Mount Vernon Cemetery
But they were recently restored (The one still has the temporary brace & clamps on it as the stone sets.) They did a great job on these stones. Here is an article about those who are doing the restoration of these stones:
Mount Vernon restoration news article
They have an e-mail at the end of the article - I'm sure they would appreciate any kind words. (Plus they do this all not-for-profit, so if you wanted to donate $$ to their cause - I'm sure they would love that also.... they have done a GREAT job in restoring this cemetery.)
Anyway, wanted to let you know about those who are restoring the cemetery.

You are welcome; glad to help. I know how thrilled I was when a volunteer added pictures of my Grandparent's markers.
I also added a picture of Ralph Busby's marker, he is buried in the same area as the others. He was killed in WWII.
If you need any other pictures, just ask.

I transferred Virginia to you, and I have taken pictures of all the markers I could ID,and there probably not going to be one for them, how ever I might find out just where they are buried and get you that ,in better weather.

I will see what if anything I can find. It,
however, may be a while. This morning isn't looking too promising as far as tombstone or nature photography goes as it is currently overcast.I like taking my photos whenever there is little to no cloud cover.

There is some room near to Kinchen so they maybe in unmarked graves. Have you tried to contact the church. Another thought would be to contact the Northeast Alabama Genealogy Society (NEAGS). They have available for sale a book,'Cemeteries Impacted by the Weiss Dam and Lake'. I am aware of this book but never took time to look at it. May be they can help you.

Hi Jeff..I believe he's buried there, it's just that his name and dates were never engraved on the headstone. If you'll notice in the photo, the top portion of the headstone is empty. I think that that is probably where his name was to go. Maybe since he was the last to die, there wasnt anyone to take care of that detail. idk..but that's what I'm thinking.

You had previously requested these photos from Green Lawn Cemetery in K.C.Mo. The cemetery office had them listed as no headstone and I reported that to findagrave, then during my searching for other names I came across their heastone. Photos have been posted. Sorry for the confusion
