|Dolores J. Rush||A William Cooke Boone Descendant|
I found one of William Cooke Boone's descendants here on Findagrave -- Martha Boone Faust #82245477. She is mentioned in the book below.

Before I forget -- is the surname Bilieu French and pronounced "Blue" or "Bill-you?"

My husband ordered a book for me through interlibrary loan called "The Boone Family & Kentucky Baptists" by Leo T. Crismon. Kentucky Baptist Historical Society, Louisville, KY; 1946. In the back it has a chart and I was wondering if William Cooke Boone (b. Feb. 8, 1892), son of Arthur Upshaw Boone #99551385 is still alive or has he passed?

Also, after we sell you may want to remind me and I will transfer the entire cemetery to you if you're interested.

Stay in touch. That cemetery is so riddled. A huge tree, far larger than any group of people could even handle, fell a few years ago amidst the tombstones. There is no money for maintaining it; the county does bits with cemeteries but their volunteer group would be overwhelmed by the breadth of the cleanup of that 200-year-old tree which grew in the center of the graves. I tried to get W. Ky University's woodworking department to take it but they thought it was too inaccessible.
So long as there are living descendents keeping up on the graves of their ancestors the land can't be sold out or otherwise diverted for use. It is truly too small without combination with an adjacent property such as ours and we certainly weren't going to change anything about it.
We will be listing our property though this spring or summer. If you want/ need any photographs, let me know soon; I am going up Jan. 2-4 to check out the current renter; I could take photos then.

WOW! I got another message and am finally beginning to really read the messages. I apologize profusely for taking 6 years to transfer ownership of the gravesite to you. We own the land adjacent-- the only access to the cemetery. When we bought in 2000, only 3 graves were visible. Over the 9 years we lived there, we found many more, some merely stones set upright; we wondered if some of those were early graves or perhaps slave graves. We loved the tranquility of the cemetery. I found it had been written up in "Graves of Warren County" and was described decades before as very remote and in disrepair-- will probably disappear within 5-10 years. We worked steadily to restore the sites and individual graves and researched the stories behind the people-- finally we tracked them to Moses Taylor/ Elizabeth Prevatte Taylor and their emigration from North Carolina to Kentucky in 1796. The Wileys, Adamses, Hines, Daughertys, etc., were in their entourage/ had lived nearby in Craven County, NC.
I am so pleased to know you are family. I look forward to seeing what you post. We still own the property, plan to sell this year perhaps but when we go back in the spring we will definitely check on the cemetery and tell you if conditions have changed markedly. The house has been rented for 5 years and I doubt the tenants have done any upkeep. If you want or need any more information, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks for the link to their song. It makes me fell like I know them a little better. That is more than I expect in return for taking a picture. Let me know if I can take any more for you in the LA area.

Glad to do it. I had to go back twice because the name was different. I looked right at it the first time, then had to check with the office to see if it was the correct location. Very odd because their records show her name was Bragino. Do you know if there is any film available of her performances?

I think its a combination of being protected from acid rain by overhanging trees and when it fell over enough debris covered it to protect it. I'm hopeing the other Grahams are in the same area as its very overgrown in there. I actually walked by the cemetery the first time without seeing it because of all the foliage. If yu ver get to this area and want to go out there let me know. Bill

I posted a picture of the Graham memorial you added - # 90988395. I also added one of another one in that family line - still looking for the other memorials as it's badly overgrown in there. Bill

I'm working on my husband's Sparks line so not closely related. His 2 great grandmother was a Sparks and I'm following her youngest brother's family and descendants right now. Leona's grandmother was a Sparks. I'm glad you could fix the problem. Many thanks, Roberta

I requested a gravestone picture for Frank Winandy (76556048)and Leona May Winandy buried at Enumclaw Cemetery. The cemetery says they have no record of them. Could you help with this problem in anyway? Roberta Everett

You are very welcome, Dave. It was a pleasure working on the Flake memorials. I was wondering if you might take over their care, so that they would be with family?

Dave: There is no marker for the above memorial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Sorry I accidently somehow deleted the photo request before sending a message. I used the cemetery probe to see if we could find a marker that perhaps had been overgrown with sod, but there was no marker in line where she should have been. Sorry..

Thanks for pointing out the errors on dates for Margaret. We had some errors occur in the document that resulted in dates being uploaded wrong and I haven't found them all. I'm getting closer to having things fixed, but let me know if you find more!

Yes Fairview Cemetery 1 & 2 was combined by Find A Grave into just Fairview, may be better in the long run. You couldn't enter anyone in #1 without checking to see if they had been entered in #2. Lots of duplicates

If this is the cemetery on Bigby Road and Hoctor Road, let me know if you ever need access to this. My aunt's husband owns all the land around it. He can be a little hard headed at times but I am sure I could help you if needed.
