|Ann Stranman||Annie I. Crofoot #51305912|
Susan--Anne was my maternal Grandmother (I was named after her, though my Mother spelled my first name differently). I initially had trouble finding her here due to the first name being listed as "Annie" instead of Anne, so created a memorial for her, which I've since deleted to avoid duplication. I would like to correct her first name, have her maiden name of Mikkonen included on the memorial, and add a link to her Father's memorial (John Mikkonen, #26940033), if possible.
If you would like to transfer the management of this memorial to me, I would be happy and willing to take that on. I have other details about her that I would like to include in her bio...

Samantha and I walked all over this cemetery looking for your request without luck. I did add another picture for Miles Carswell. Also next to his headstone is a "Father" marker we looked and felt around a little to find a "Mother" marker, but there just wasn't anyhting. The Big headstone I added only has him listed on it, it's in pretty good shape so I don't think anything has weathered beyond reading. I will look in the records to see if I can locate your requests that way.

Did some checking and was able to find the following:
July 17, 1832
Nov. 24, 1896
Elizabeth (Davis) McKinley
March 13, 1839
Sept. 25, 1811
Aug. ??, 1872
They are all listed on a McKinley family stone. I took picture of the family stone and 3 headstones that are with it including the one that says "our little ones". They are all in section "B" lot #157.
Records also list a Lucinda and a Simeon Davis. I was unable to locate them, but will be a little more checking.
If you would please put in a photo request for the above names I will post asap. Sorry we missed them the first time guess we were looking for Davis not Mckinley.

|Jeff Whitehead||RE: Davis Family|
You are welcome....as for other Davis's in this cemetery, Samantha and I looked at every headstone and couldn't find any others. We do have a great library here in Coldwater with a genealogy department. They have every cemetery in the county transcribed (pre 1960's)so it's very easy to look up names if you know the city or township they may have died in. They also have large files on surnames from the area. Just pick the name pull the file and any news article on people with that last name, from this area, are in it. Samantha and I would be happy to help you find some of that missing info just send us some names and we will go from there.

|Jeff Whitehead||RE: Davis North Gilead Cem.|
I was able to find all the Davis's you requested, however the headstone for Ezekial and Julia Davis is very weathered. Samantha and I were able to make out most of Ezekial's name and a few numbers from the dates. His name is on the front of the stone. Julia's name is on the right side (North side) of the stone. We could only make out the Ju___a and nothing for dates. The surname is very easy to read on the front of the stone.
We also took a picture of Rosa Davis's stone. It too is getting weathered and has been knocked over. It sits next to Ezekial and Julia's headstone. In fact you can see it in the pictures I posted for them. Send a request and I will post the full picture for you.
All these stones are in the very first row, North Section.

|Scarlett||Quincy Rural Cem. - Dougan|
I added a photo for Roy Dougan. I also have a photo for Esther Dougan, but she doesn't have a memorial page yet.
I looked for Richard Dougan, but I don't think there is a marker for him. There is a space with flowers planted, but no stone.

|PJ Willis||Guy and Rosella Houghton|
We had the clerk affirm that the Houghtons are buried in Saybrook Cemetery and found the locations of Guy Elton Houghton in Section C (eastmost portion of cemetery), Lot No. 58, Grave 10. He was cremated and died of cardio pulmonary arrest/lung carcinoma. Rosella Irene Houghton was buried in grave 10 also. We could not find a stone at that location. The funeral direction was J.P. Ducro. Sorry that we could not find the stone. We did find Howard T. Houghton - 7/18/1930-5/27/1999 and Nita R. Houghton - 8/7/1932 in Edgewood Cemetery in Ashtabula, Ohio. We added them to the site and if they are relatives, let us know and we will transfer them to you.

Unfortunately, there are no stones for these graves. I took photos of all the stones & uploaded them a few weeks back. Sorry. The cemetery is VERY rural & only seldomly does the grass get mowed. It is on the corner of the intersection of 2 country roads surrounded by cornfields. It is not fenced & many of the stones are broken & simply piled up against trees. The stones are simply suffering from time & lack of maintenance.

I just relooked at your photo request for Wilford & Matilda Lord. You must have the wrong location in the cemetery. Oddly enough, there is a Mitilda in lot 62 but I could not determine the last name. After posting the photo, I realize it cannot be the same.
I will head up to see the township clerk to get better information. I will also check for Ransome Shippy, whom I have been unable to locate.
Finally, there is an Eva Beals Lutz buried with Halsey & his son.
Please email me direct with other info or questions. This really isnt the forum for questions & answers.

I don't recall the wife being there but she might have been. I did not take photos but can easily. I have to go back there to find a couple more anyway.
