|Billy Ray||RE: Hiram Ray of Barnwell Co., SC|
In my family tree is Hiram Ray 1814-1882, He was born to Charles Ray and Jane Jeter. He was born in Barnwell County, SC and died in Berrien County, GA. Elias Still Ray Sr was my great great grandfather. He moved from Barnwell to Liberty Co. Georgia. His son Elias Still Ray Jr and another brother, Charles(different one) then moved to Berrien Co, GA. My grandfather was Cursey Ray of Berrien and my grandmother Pauline Mikell from Ray City. I show Hiram's daughter Joann married Hi ram Griner and their son Daniel married my great aunt Donne Ray. Your great grandfather Charles was the son of Benjamin Ray and a Rachel. Some list that same Benjamin as my 2x great grandfather Elias Still Ray's father which have made Hiram, Elias Still Ray's nephew. I am still working on confirming Benjamin's tree line as their was more then one, Benjamin's father was also a Benjamin. I will be visiting the graves of Elias Still Ray in Liberty Co, GA, Benjamin Ray in Bamberg, SC as well as others buried in Barnwell Co, SC the week after Easter on a road trip. If you will send me your email I will give you access to my Ray tree. I will possibly be in Ray City, GA for either the Mikell or Ray Reunions this year if I am back from Nicaragua on a Sabbatical Leave. My main email is firstname.lastname@example.org Billy Ray

Thanks for letting me know. I must read the documents as best I can. Are you related to the Bevilles?
I see where you have a virtual cemetery for Zipperers in Valdosta. I was researching Bellville Baptist Cemetery in Hamilton County FL and found these:

In my tree I have her parents as William Cato 1879-1868 & Poly Ann 1790-????.
I was wondering about your links to John Passmore & Candacy Cato as parents.
The only daughters of John Passmore & Candacy Cato whom I've found are Susanna Ann, Jane and Precilla.

Also, I wonder if you know Bud and Barbara Ray? If you are going to this cemetery then you must have seen Talmon Ray (not sure of the spelling) He was the third child of my Grandparents, John and Lillie Ray, and he died when he was very young - he is buried next to James Nathaniel Ray and close by to John Ray in the same cemetery - any info would certainly be appreciated, My Friend - thank You -

I have located one lone grave in Screven Co Ga with a teenage girl named Elizabeth (126983257). Bottom of old stone is hard to read but looks like father was a William Green Duke (35973720) that you manage. Do you happen to know if William & his wife may have lived temporarily in Screven Co and had another daughter? Just curious as I am trying to piece together who her family is/was. I am not related to any Duke. Thx for your time sir.

|Ed Hightower||RE: Emeline Smithwick Crosby|
Thanks. All clear. I am connected to Emmaline via her son William Peter Crosby. Do you have any info or have you done any research on Emmaline's siblings i.e. Robert, Amelia, Alice, Harmon? That is where more work is needed.

|Ed Hightower||RE: Emeline Smithwick Crosby|
No trouble at all. I am descended from her on my mother's side and have done some research on the Smithwicks but would like to know more. Just thought I would ask about the place of birth. There were many Smithwicks is Cherokee County but it is my opinion Emeline (Emmaline) was born in Florida. She listed Georgia as her place of birth on many Census Reports but I believe that was more for convenience than fact? If you are descended via one of her sisters would like to know which one. I am assuming it might be Alice?

Thank you so much! Unfortunately, I don't know if Anthony is buried at Jellico or not. There are many unmarked graves in the cemetery. There is a James Anthony Drew (1864-1917) buried there. Could he be their son?
