The other picture I have of the home is a darkish grey picture from, I believe, the 1950's.

My pleasure to provide the photo, don't know why I didn't add photo to Ila's memorial. Any way it's taken care of now. Have a great day!

Thanks. I got things resolved. I am into a little OJT and have taken some time to learn some of the basics.

RE: Argenbright
I am am a loss as to how to be able to post a photo without having a request to do so. The cemetery does not show when a search is done using Find A Grave. Perhaps I need another request unless you know how I can proceed. Sorry about the delay

RE: Argenbright
I do not believe I sent you the photos I took on another face of the marker which applies to the wife and can be read much better. I cannot add picture here but pass me your e-mail address with direct e-mail to me. My address is on the message board,

I think you would like the photos I have.

Yes I know who you are. We are both members of the Hawpesville Yahoo Group. Go to the Hawpe Family Tree website.

Then click on the brown box named links on the main page. It will take you to a new page where you will see Hawpe Family Memorial Parks. It has been broken down into 6 Virtual Cemetary's. Rudplph's has all the descendants. Click on the Betsy Hawpe Link. There are close to 400 names there of her descendants.

RE: Mehulda Davis
Thank you so much. I have my tree private becauseit was/and is a work in progress. I had it public but when ever I would make an entry about 50 people would follow suit. I had to correct a lot of errors, so I will stay private for a while. When I go back on I will invite you as a guest.
Mahulda's father is 4th great uncle to my husband Danny. Mehulda Davis Anderson would be my husbands 1st cousin 4X removed. I have been working on his tree for about ten years.Thank you so much for sharing. Helen

Hello, my husband is connected to the Andersons and I was wondering if I could get permission to post your history on my husbands tree at ancestry? I would credit it to you. What a wonderful memorial. Thanks Helen member #47191667

RE: Hill Connections...
Very small world, Jenny! I also have a daughter named Jennifer (Jenni) and I have a granddaughter named Savannah, after our Savannah Rebecca Deadwyler Hill. My father was born near Pittsburg at Lafayette and lived in Pittsburg as a boy. His family moved across the state line into southwestern Arkansas when my dad was about 11-12 years old. My grandparents were married in Pittsburg and I have visited there many times. In fact, it was a trip to Pittsburg that first got me interested in genealogy....I was in the 5th grade and I wrote down all the names and dates of the tombstones we visited in the cemetery! Let's keep in touch and compare notes!

RE: Deadwyler
Hi Jennifer, you are exactly correct on the birth place, I wrote it down incorrectly. I am so glad you are going to correct the information.
You and I are closely related as I also descend from Valentine Hardeman Deadwyler, through his and Harriett's daughtder Savannah Rebecca Deadwyler who married Joseph W. Hill (their daughter Martha Lou Hill who married John C Miller is my grandmother). Savannah and Joseph Hill moved to Texas and both died there. I would like to discuss our family connections!

Re: Find A Grave Memorial# 25462727 -

Jennifer, I just wanted to let you know that this Martin Deadwyler was not born in Germany. He was born in Elbert County, Georgia and is the son of Joseph Deadwyler and Alice Duncan Deadwyler. His grandfather (father of Joseph Deadwyler) was also named Martin Deadwyler and he is the one who was born in Germany.

I am a descendant of the Deadwyler's and would like to take over maintaining their graves if you are not a relative. This Martin Deadwyler is my 3rd great-grandfather.

Thank you, Kathie Sarchet

Hello Jennifer, I transferred the rest of the Mace Cemetery memorials to you. I do not need them transferred back. I am sure you will take good care of them.....and your welcome for the pictures.

Your reply brought joy to my heart. And thank you for the encouraging words.

No problem with the name... you provided enough info that it was still obvious.

Good luck with the geneology!!!

RE: Fite & Harris
Hi Jennifer,

I got back out to the Fite Cemetery this week and got Susan Fite's photo for you. I finally found W. F. Harris and got his photo as well. His stone was broken and it was covered with some dirt & grass which is why I missed it last time.
