Is the husband of my first cousin twice removed.

But here is the humorous part - I had two parts of the family kind of crash into each other

The Sanford/Ives/Gillett families crash into the Sanford/Lampman/Merrifield/Gillett families

Eudette Gillett is my first cousin twice removed.
Arthur H Sanford my father
Edna Lucy Lampman Sanford his mother (my grandmother)
Elwin E Lampman her father (my great grandfather)
Lucinda Jane Lampman Merrifield his sister (my 2nd great aunt)
Eudette Merrifield Gillett her daughter
She married Willis Gillett
William Gillett is his father
Joseph Gillett is his father
Joseph Gillett is his father
Joseph Gillett is his father
Johnathan is his father
Josiah is his father (brother of Samuel – see below)
Jonathan Gillette is his father (and my 8th great grandfather) see below

Jonathan Gillette is my 8th great grandfather.
Arthur H Sanford my father
John Bradford Sanford his father
Rhoda Ives Sanford his mother
John Ives her father
Ira Ives his father
John Ives his father
Daniel Ives his father
Mary Gillett Ives his mother
Samuel Gillett her father (brother of Josiah-see above)
Jonathan Gillette his father

So…………….my first cousin, twice removed is married to the 5th great grandson of my 8th great grandfather.

I am distantly related to this family. I love all the family photos, but wonder how John is the only one with out a photo?

Thanks for the update. I did as you requested. I find it sad that families don't know their past relatives. I find so many name mistakes in obituaries.

Isn't history amazing? We would never know so much about these people without a site like this. I feel like a spy !

Did she divorce her first husband because John Jutton died much earlier than him.

Ok, I will accept your edit which will delete Merle, but after that I will add him back in so it should be all straight.

I would be happy to transfer and memorial to you. I am just working on Valley for fun.

By the way, loved your comment about cutting her in half. We need a sense of humor in this business.

You sent me edits for her, most of which I approved. However you have deleted Merle as her husband and I was wondering why. He appears on the stone with her and it does say they were married, with a date. Can you please let me know before I take action on that edit.

Hilda Talley's headstone
I am glad you figured it out. I as trying to figure it out too! I can add the headstones. I will do it right now. Sorry about the quality. I try to clean up the headstones a little bit. Ernst's parent headstones are shifting again and where they are on the hill is a little steep.

“Mother Alice”
It was pointed out to me that we both use the photo of the head stone for “Mother Alice” at plot “CAPAC-OLD-4-3”, I have her as 112928992 Alice Gottschalk, and you have her as Alice Conran Glassford 52470302. I get her last name from Cemetery Records. The graves around her are Glassford’s one of them could be her Maiden. Your memorial is the oldest and I’m open to any fix that can be documented and would delete mine if you can show you are correct.
Thank You

okay. I put the Hull name with her maiden name. So now it should come up if someone is looking for Joyce Davis. Helen

Thanks for the information. Is her maiden name spelled with a capital "R" or a small "r"? In her obit it is capitalized. But on her parents it is with a small 'r'. Her first husband's name appears in the obit like this "Joyce (Hull), age, passed away..." I don't know how to add it to the top of the page unless it was a hyphenated name.
(Hull-Davis), which I don't think it was. I did that to my grandmother's memorial, and someone told me it was the wrong way to do it. Because someone looking for her would have to KNOW that it was "Hull", not "Davis". Her memorial would NOT come up if you searched for "Joyce Davis"
What do you think? I linked her to her first husband and to her parents. Helen

RE: Lillian Heinig Hart
Good Morning Bruce,

I'm glad I could help. I am not connected. I try to fill in obits and history in the area cemeteries. I went to Markham last summer to search out a person I had information on but no grave memorial. I found many of the Markham graves had not been photographed. It was raining that day so I could not do all. Intended to go back later but by the time I got there another person had photographed them. So I have been still researching and adding obits and histories.

I have done some research in this area for another Hart and was glad to find this on Lillian and her family. You might be connected to them.

As for the Bath School Bombing. I am very aware of it as my cousins attended the Bath School in the 50's and 60's and knew the history well. Several people in my area survived the bombing. I have all the books including the original one.

I really appreciate the fact that you have added this stone to Anna Narramore Braman's memorial.

The problem is that this is actually the headstone for her grandson, Stephen and Anna Hawes Braman Memorial-- numbers 7095514 and 27935594.

Thank you
