RE: Lorin E Andersen
Thank you. I apologize for how long it took me to correct this. I have had so little time to review the site. I just noticed that the dates on photo of the headstone for Annie do not match the dates listed on the page. Any clarification on this dilemma would also be appreciated. Maybe the headstone was not hers but some other relative.

Thank you for taking the photos and for speaking to the caretaker about the Ann Shelby grave. Also, the newspaper articles you supplied are great.

Hi Richard,

When I received her death certificate, I was very surprised to find that my cousin had been buried in Santa Cruz Memorial Park, because her last years and death were in Fresno, but her father was an Odd Fellow, so maybe that explains it. I would love to verify her burial place and ask for a picture of her grave marker, but have no idea where online to find a list of burials in this cemetery. This online list doesn't seem to exist.

I totally agree - gravestones are fragile, records disappear, and maybe findagrave is another way of trying to preserve the past.

Thank you for any advice you may give,

Dorothy Dreher

Woo HOO! Glad you snagged it. I always share stuff I find. The article turned out great and adds more info to her too. Evidently she was a famous author maybe?

RE: Re: Pioneer Cemetery
Now I see. Thank you. Do you know of anyway to get a list of burials in a cemetery, in something like a spread sheet form?

Reich family photos
Hi Richard,

Thank you so much for your amazingly speedy response to my request.
And I'm glad my ancestry.com tree provided you with personal photos.
And that was thoughtful to also provide the obituaries. I did not have some of them.

The calculated relationships are all correct. Vergie and Erwin Reich were my grandparents.

So, can I assume that Charles' mother, Caroline Foht Reich (1837-1937) did not have a marker?

Again, thank you.

OMG! Never expected the photo so soon! They are Great! Nicolas is a grand uncle to me. No one in the family knew where he was buried or when he died. No one knew he had married again Mom said she had not seen seen him since she was 15 or 16 (1943). It wasn't till last night that I found out he had married a 3rd time when I found Florence's obituary. Anyway thought I would take a chance, called the cemetery this morning and they confirmed he was buried there with Florence.

Nick's mother tried coming to America in 1890, only to be stopped by their father who was very abusive. His mother left for America with out the children (6). By 1895 Nick's mother had worked and saved enough money for the voyage here for all the children but 1 and that was my grandfather that was left behind. He came 6 months later. Nick (age 10) and 4 siblings rode in a hay wagon, hidden under the hay till they were far enough away and finally reached Le Harve, France. This was all done with the help of neighbors.I've been searching for him a long time and you are my hero!!!!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!
