Is Emma's maiden name Murphy?
Hi Nan,
I am still checking this out. I just rechecked on Greenwood index, the link at the front of the Greenwood Cem. web page on Find A Grave http://www.greenwoodnola.com/. It shows the following:

All located at 37 Palmetto Metairie Venus
Emma Rosina Fones 75 10/11/1977
Frances Bendix 56 03/16/1974
Frances Bendix 03/21/1974
Ernest L. Fones 66 12/19/1954
Emma C. Robert 65 07/17/1951

There could also be earlier burials not listed in this index and of course errors. I really want to insure we figure this out. Is Emma's maiden name Murphy? Is that the maiden name you have?

Nan,

You are very welcome. I am always glad to help. I have finished uploading the remander of your requests for Greenwood.

I envy you being in Hawaii. I was stationed on Midway Island a few years ago, and got to visit Oahu on several occasions.

Yep, I owe you lots! Just this afternoon alone, you've missed out on at least 30 S.A.C.s (Taylor Cemetery) that I linked without your assistance! I can go to town with these things now! The other contributors should thank you, too.

No, I didn't know that I could make links like this! If it weren't for you, I would be in the Dark Ages, Girlfriend! I'll certainly give it a try.

Loraine Aulds Odom
She was linked to her step mother. I haven't found the burial place of her mother, Minnie Hamm yet. The 4 month old little boy listed on the 1920 died at age 6 in 1925, then she had a set of twins in 1926 who died in 1926. Then on the 1930 Willie Aulds has remarried the 2nd wife, Lovie. I have been assuming that Minnie possibly died in the mid 1920's, but have found a lady in west Texas who could be Minnie who was married to a W C Allen, and she died in 1937. I would like to link Loraine to her mother, but need to find her. Thanks for your help,

Hi Nan,
Just want to touch base with you. I am the volunteer that claimed your photo request.
As you may know, the McCracken Cemetery, Wilson Co., TX, is on private property. It is located on the back of the wooded property and the road was allowed to return to the "wild" years ago. The only access is by tractor or utility vehicle. I talked to the adult son of the property owner and he has offered to drive me and my husband to the cemetery to take photos. We will need to take a weed-eater and other tools to clear away brush for a photo. He was unable to do it yesterday, so we will schedule another day. If we can't make arrangements this weekend, it may be several weeks before we can coordinate a date mutually convenient.

I am telling you this so that if I am unable to fulfill your request within 14 days, don't give up on me, just leave your request out there until I can get it done. Since there is a third party involved, I am at their "mercy".

Sonora Boneita Gray Harlor #91856723
Think I found her parents in West End Cemetery, Stephenville, Erath, TX

Father: John W. Gray #15193787
Mother: May A. Gray # 15193775

You did not supply full death dates on Sonora's parents. So if these two individuals are indeed her parents, let me know.

Jim Williams
Bethey Cem., Lillie, LA -Williams family
Hi Ms. Carter,

Thank you for listing the Williams family in Bethel Cem. I had set up my dad, Harris S. Williams, Memorial# 43566353
from my mother's memorial in CA. and accidentally showed him buried in Union Co, AR. I just went in and corrected and discovered that you already had him listed. Now there are two for him. I am sorry to have done that. Yours has the cemetery photos. I can delete mine if you would like to link him to my mother #104296425 and my sister #104302755. Helen E. Williams is his second wife, married 1941. The other Williamses are my grandparents and uncle and aunt.

I was born in Lillie but after a divorce in 1941 have been away from that area and really appreciate what you have done.

Thank you for taking time to read and reply.

Gratefully,

Jim Williams

Martin Batt Lee
Hi. You're right. I'm related to him & his wife Lavincia 'Levincy' Louisa Albritton Lee - via their daughter Holland (g'g'g'grandmother) who married Thomas Brantley, and from there to Martin Batt Brantley, Ada Brantley, James Wm. Hardin Meeks, Lizzie Meeks Pickel, and my mother. I came across an extensive Lee family tree online once - a couple of computers ago & wonder where to find it now (will have to have a look).

Now you can get your life back! You have been so sweet, patient, helpful, efficient, and superbly cooperative.....I just want to give you a big hug across the Pacific Ocean! By the way, I've been practicing your technique "Copy and Paste", and I think I've caught on. Maybe this will save me some typing in the future.

No "edits", huh? Hmmmm .... I haven't totally figured this out yet. I get a few requests like this on my Contributor Page, like I'm the one who needs to process them (and I do); I just wonder who decides whether or not to make the changes.

Well, I have "edited" some of the birth/death locations on some of them, which you can't see yet. Do you get a notification of the "edits" I've done on your memorials?

Nearly Finished with Liberty Cem @ Linville
Dear Nan ...

I've sent you S.A.C.s from the A's through the R's. All we need to finish are the S's through the W's! I know you will rejoice when we're done with this one. I'm still finding links at Taylor Cemetery, but a lot of them include memorials by other contributors. I can't fathom how you have kept up with these at Linville! Is my name "Mud" yet?

Wow! When did this start??? I will certainly be using this feature....(and maybe you will get less S.A.C.s)! I'd noticed the edit page had changed, but never thought that anyone other than the creating contributor could actually "edit". Thanks for this info, girlfriend.

You are TOO EFFICIENT, girl! Are you using up all of your notepads? My memory is so bad, EVERY detail has to be written down when I'm processing S.A.C.s.
Yep, I guess it takes NUTZ to keep at this stuff! But I'm pretty sure we'll be helping someone someday to find their long-lost kinfolks.

RE: links
Are you kidding me? You must have someone helping you on another computer!!! I'll drag out my Liberty Cem. notes and hop to it again. That's as far as I've gone with the Taylor Cem. (through the A's and B's), and it's a huge cemetery! Never fear, I'll have more links for ya real soon. I'm not used to people cheerfully getting so many S.A.C.s!

Nan, thank you so very much for creating this memorial! Do you know the family? I have been searching for Jasper's grandfather for almost forty years! (His father and his brother Cyrus both had a "Thing" for very long names! Ha!) Louisiana is one of the last places in the world I would have looked for him! his father lived in Alabama for most of his life, and died there. Jasper's memorial number is 43044421
