Sometimes the gravestone will be wrong - I've seen that a few times. But usually not this much off, unless it was a 'typo' of the chisel.

I photographed the stone for Joseph & Bettye Dunnigan in Holy Cross Cemetery in Los Angeles Co. CA. The date on Bettye's memorial on Find a Grave says she died in 1966, but her stone says 1996 - just pointing that out to you.
Joseph is not the the stone with her, though there is a space for his information on the stone. I went ahead & posted this gravestone photo on his memorial page. I hope that was what you wanted.

I have written to the contributor that supplied the bio for this person and asked them that they double check their findings. You might want to write to the person that supplied this information and compare notes. Will leave stand until I hear back from one or both of you. Thanks

Hi there. Perhaps you should keep your request open to see if anyone else can find it? Might be worth another set of eyeballs just in case... -Mary Jo

Just so you know, William Nathan Reeder has a memorial, which has been placed in Cave Hill National (on Findagrave), even though he is actually buried in Cave Hill, Sec O, along with many of his Confederate brethren. They lie beneath the Confederate flag, adjacent to a portion of National, where the US flag flies nearby. At least, two of us have tried to get the memorial moved to Cave Hill, but the lady who manages it absolutely refuses to move it. She doesn't understand how the memorial was created to start with and thinks the US government put it there.

After loading a bunch of photos for Cave Hill National, i noticed that you have a group of Reeder requests for Cave Hill. Two of those guys are actually buried in Cave Hill National. Cave Hill's office the records all screwed up and they think they are just fine the way they are.
Anyway, i had made a memorial for JH Reeder (or Allen - i forget which it was. I will be glad to remove my memorial and add the photo to yours, if you'll move JH & Allen to National. Then i'll get the photo for the other guy's memorial. I'm taking a lot of pictures at National, anyway.
Sorry i didnt notice the mislocation in the records earlier.

What can you tell me about May Reeder...such as a death...or did she remarry? My great grandmother was an Osman, sister to Alva Everett Osman.

Mary Peck married Clifford Turman on Jan 2, 1908 in Effingham Co, Illinois. Powell Clifford Turman was born July 31, 1908. The name Powell was Mary's mother's maiden name. Powell is buried in the Edgewood Cemetery as well.

This a correction to your note on Mary E Peck Osman. Powell Osman was Clifford Powell Turman, born to Clifford Turman and Mary E Peck Turman. Gernon Osman was a son of Alva Everett Osman and Mary E Peck Osman. May Reeder had no children with Alva Osman.

You left a note saying you'd like a photo of each Reeder in Cave Hill. Well, out of 120,000+ graves, there are only six Reeders, so someone will get them if you add requests for them.
Here is a list of all the Reeders:
Albert (1919) - Sec 9, Range 299
Allen B (1865) - Sec C, Lot 3
Clara Cook (1937) - Sec 18, Lot 55
Ellen Thompson (1873) - Sec O, Lot 38
J H (1862) - Sec A, Lot 15
William F (1897) - Sec 6, Range 154

|SusanG||RE: ALICE JULIA MACKIE|
Hi Linda-I'm so sorry that it took me so long to get back to you. Alice and Edward (Edwin) did divorce in Louisiana about 1910-1911 I haven't located a divorce decree on them as of yet, however Edwin married his third wife Gertrude Heilman in 1918 in California. Edwin was my 2nd great uncle. Alice has quite a history according to articles on genealogy bank.com-her father was a Confederate Soldier for the Army based out of Virginia. She was a very active member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

|Graver Gal||Bert Reeder|
I got your correction. I looked at the death certificate and it looks like they put his birth 1899, but put his age as 62. The obit puts his age as 52 at death and his birth at 1899.
I don't know which to believe? Are you related? For now if you don't mind, I just think I will go by the obit since I have found them to be more actuate than death certificates.
But if this is a relative (not mine, no relation at all), I'll be glad to transfer Bert to you.
