|William Cole||Grove Hill|
Thank you for the information on Lora Shute and Wilbert Bissell.
Do you know of anyone who would object to having Grove Hill cemetery put on FindAGrave? Would the historical society in Chagrin have records of the cemetery?

|Phyllis Conheady Stehm||Caryle Sheridan Harris (Evergreen Hill)|
I have been working on the family of Albon C. Gardner and his wife, Saloma Bancroft of whom many of their descendants are buried in Evergreen Hill Cemetery. I noted that you are maintaining one for Carlyle Sheridan Harris. I found his death date as 01 Jun 1982, Chagrin Falls, Cuyahoga, Ohio. Source: Social Security Death Index and Ohio Deaths 1958-2007, both on Ancestry.com. Do you work in this cemetery often?

What's also fun is that prior to calling, I had ordered another document from them - a probate doc they had on Frank Ransom Blackmarr. I just stumbled upon it doing an internet search of all things.....can scan that and email if you like. I didn't realize until it came in the mail that both pieces came from the same place!
I'll sent the ref. as a note via Facebook - since this posts publicly.

Aha! I was hoping that you would say that! I received a family sheet from the Geauga public library this week, and it indicated that Frank and Mabel were there, but I did not find them searching here. Since we had so many that lived in Parkman at one time, I had hoped to find information on them, so this is very encouraging.
Yes, I am related. Frank Ransom was my great grandfather on my dad's side. Frank's son Dana, my grandfather, wrote quite a bit about the Blackmarr ancestry, so I am posting the information to ancestry.com as I can make time to. I'll see what he says about Eliza Rowe, there are comments about many of my ancesters in his notes, so I do know of her. South of Buffalo is a very good guess for her resting place - will see if he commented on it for you.

|blueheron14||RE: Burton, Frazer|
From the index Michigan Deaths and Burials, 1800-1995 (FamilySearch): Roswell N. Burton, widowed, farmer, died 14 Aug 1898, Montrose, Genesee, Michigan, aged 79. Born in New York about 1819; s/o Roswell Burton. (No other info on wife Olive.)
I'm a Frazer descendant. If you're interested, there's an excellent record from a Frazer family Bible: http://www.onentofl.com/chbiblefraseralex.html
That it ended up in Iowa suggests that it was at one time in the possession of either daughter Charlotte L. Ellis or Olive A. Burgess (my ancestor). The families of these two migrated to Iowa after the Civil War.

|John "J-Cat" Griffith||RE: Allen Ralph Bushnell|
Hello David, in regards to US Congressman Allen Ralph Bushnell's bio, since he is listed in the famous section memorials there is no option to link from his entry to family and relatives. However, whomever has ownership for his father and mother's non-famous bios can link them to the Congressman's entry and all should be good then. Thanks,

|Lois Bates||A.W. Rathbun|
Hi. A.W.'s brother was the brother of my g-g-grandfather, Lewis Clinton Rathbun. A.W. did die in Nebraska. I was given a box of papers and pictures. In there were letters A.W. had written to his brother and father at home in Ohio. One, in particular, sticks in my mind. A.W. had written home after the death of his beloved wife, Jerusha, in Illinois, I believe. The man was absolutely heartbroken. Even 100 years later, reading this letter could bring tears to your eyes. he had a farm in Nebraska. When he died, they transported him home to Ohio via rail.
