RE: Mollie Smith
Hi Bob!
I am always interested in the Richland and Fairfield Smiths. I have never found an actual Smith male from Stephen Smith's line. Would these folks in Alabama be those Smiths?

I am related to several Smith lines in Richland and Fairfield counties, but can't locate my direct male lineage with DNA. I'm always hopeful that one will pop up eventually on Ancestry. It's always possible that my line was not actually Smith, but some other surname that got changed.

I am also a direct descendant of the Kinslers who were Stephen and Mollie Smith's next door neighbors. I hope we'll have a chance to correspond some since you are interested in this family too!

Stephen Smith's wife
Hi Mr. Leitner,

Just wanted to let you know that Stephen Smith's wife's surname is unknown. Her name was Mollie and she is alleged to have lived to be 115 years old according to the records of Sue A.C. Lever, his great grand-daughter.

The Mollie Newman that you mention was married to Stephen Smith of Barnwell County. A totally different family. The Newman name is well documented in that line.

I wish we knew what our Stephen's wife's surname was. It is a very difficult family to research. I am currently working with the owners of the Stephen Smith House to place it on the National Register.

I hope this finds you well.

Robert it will be the edit button on your page not Eunice's page. If you go on your page for the contributor tools you will see the edit button and it should have at less 1 beside the edit. Just click on the edit and it will show you everything that has been sent to you for updates.

The only reason I knew was they used me to try it out due to having numerous memorials, but why no one was ever notified on this I have no idea. Now that Ancestory has Find A Grave things might get better for all the people.

On the memorial I put out there just click on edit and it should bring up several options. Find A Grave failed to let people know of the new edit screen. When you type in the info it will come direct to me to accept.

Thanks for the info on Kay. I knew her from school and also knew her as Kay Harrell,
and don't know why I didn't add that in the beginning.
I didn't know that Gerald had passed on. That makes five old friends that I've lost
this week. Stay well and keep up the good work on Find A Grave.

Hi Bob

The additions to Samuel Proctor's memorial has been made. If you don't mind I will retain his memorial as he is listed in my Florida database.

RE: Neal Everrett McClure
I'm sorry. My mistake. I want his mom and dad to be linked.

His parents are not linked - at least they weren't when I transferred Neal to you.

When you look at Neal it shows his parents, but if you go to his dad or mom's page, they are not linked -- unless you linked them recently.

Again, my mistake.

I didn't gave you a wife for Neal. I only gave you Neal who is attached to his parents.

Neal Everett McClure's parents are:

Everett Earl McClure 85463047

and

Hazel Mary (Potter) McClure 85463047

I added an obituary to his dad's memorial - that verifies who his mom and dad are.

I hope this helps.

RE: Ephraim M. Johnson
He married Sarah Virginia Claytor 10/8/1872 in Lee County, Alabama. I hadn't noticed the birthdate, but it should be 1842. I can't read the stone so I don't know what it shows. Thanks for your help.
