|Rebecca & Sarah Jayne||RE: Charles and Rose Crosby|
Just wanted you to know that I am still searching, and clearing out brush.... Sadly I have come down with a terrible case of poison ivy.

|Rebecca & Sarah Jayne||Charles and Rose Crosby|
Hi, I noticed that you made a memorial for the Crosby's listed above in the cemetery in Marlboro NY. I wasn't sure if they are relatives of your but I recently was there and found a stone over the bank of a woman named Charlotte Crosby. So I thought she may be someone your looking for as well. I plan to go back next weekend maybe I will find the stones of Charles and Rose over the bank as well.
Have a great night,

Hi Lyle, I called Oneota today. The lady there said there is nothing on the card about the marker. I don't no why but they don't put it on the military cards. She said the snow is still two feet deep and I won't be able to check yet. Have you talked to the VA lately? Did you say it is a flat marker? My email is email@example.com. Kathy

You have shared pictures of my Grandparents Roscoe & Nettie Krom. Is there anyway I can get copies of these?

I will try to get up there soon. There is a lot of snow here so it being flat I don't think I am going to see it. I will probably need a little reminder from you in the spring. The cemetery is only five miles or so from me. The military is at the very top of it. My uncle is near Daniel's spot also. Kathy

I kind of remember now, There is snow here now so do you no if the marker is on the ground or upright? If it is flat there is no way to find it until spring. If it is upright I will go take a look again. Kathy

Hi Lyle, You will have to refresh my memory. I haven't been here for awhile. Not sure who you are talking about. What is the persons name that I told had no marker. Kathy

|Marjorie Vogeley||Re: Final resting place of James Irwin|
Thank you so much for the research you have done. I am from Stamford, Connecticut, and it looks like we share Hornbeck relatives. You mentioned that your 7th great-grandfather had a farm in Bedford, NY. Perhaps it's possible that he could have been interred on the farm. Having made so many trips in and around those roads, I know there are so many small cemeteries. I doubt all are accounted for. What other information might you have about this ancestor?

I think Tina is no longer active - -you could ask the admin (firstname.lastname@example.org) to transfer the memorial to you -- it may take a while.

|Theresa ||RE: Hanora and Patrick Cleary|
So happy to help - especially someone who was a friend of Fred! He and Ruth were quite the couple, and I miss them a lot. They're buried out in Krumville and I make it out there a couple of times a year to visit.
I'm headed over to Fantinekill, Pine Hill, and/or Grahamsville cemeteries today and tomorrow, so I'll keep an eye out for your other requests. You and I have a lot of relatives buried in the same neighborhoods :).

|Theresa ||Hanora and Patrick Cleary|
I was just listing the photo requests for Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville and saw your listing for Hanora and Patrick. Interestingly, I was in the Old Ellenville (Leurenkill) Cemetery this afternoon and I'd taken a picture of the marker. They are actually interred there, not in Fantinekill.
I'm fairly new to findagrave, so I'm not sure if I should upload the pictures to the listing you currently have, or if you want to edit their listing and move them to Old Ellenville, and then I will add the picture? There are multiple other Clearys in that lot.
Please let me know and I'm happy to help. BTW, I notice you're originally from Napanoch - you probably know my mom and her family, the Weeks's. The lived next to Peter's Market.

|John Olsen||RE: John and Sallie Irwin|
Sally's is very badly worn and at an odd angle. I had to put the camera on the ground to take the picture. John's is pretty worn too. I waited to get the sun in the right spot to make it more legible. I had to work from records to find them because they are not stones you would read just walking by. I will take another crack with water to try and bring out a little more detail.

You sould be surprised how many don't put the names on the markers. Also, on the other hand alot don't even have stones on the graves. bit expensive i guess.
Do you think you gave me the right location? some think so and find the relatives somewhere else in the cemetery, just a guess.

unfortunately that cemetery is quite large -- we have been lucky and there is no snow yet, so maybe I will get a chance to take a look -- but most definitely in the spring for sure.

Nice job on your families memorials. I just used the headstone photos to add for Doug Cassidy - our cousin. I think you have been in contact with him in the past. Just wanted to let you know how nice they look. Elaine

|Susan||James Irwin, Bedford, NY|
When I transferred that Krom memorial to you, I went out to your member page to get you member number and saw that you were looking for a James Irwin from Bedford. I grew up there and have alot of dead relatives in Bedford. Back in 1976, for the bicentennial, Bedford did a survey of all the stones in all the cemeteries in the town, and printed them all up in a very very useful book. I just looked in it, and there's no Irwin listed, which basically means that they never found a stone for him, or the stone was too illegible to read. There's a very old cemetery in the middle of Bedford Village, another on Buxton Rd in Bedford Hills, both of which are chock full of stones (many just fieldstones) that no longer have any visible descriptions on them. Also, back in the late 19th century, they flooded much of Katonah (part of Bedford) for the NYC reservoir system. They moved the entire village of Katonah, and had to move many of the graves. They didn't do a very good job, and many of the stones were discarded. They also kept very shoddy records of who they supposedly moved to where. Unfortunately, I guess what I'm saying is that you'll probably never find James Irwin's resting place. Given the year that he died, there's a good chance he's in Old Bedford or Buxton, lying under one of those fieldstsones, but you'll probably never prove it.
