|Larry Smeltz||Smeltz Family|
Hello Byron: My name is Larry Smeltz and I have been working on tracing my family. I know that Charles Smeltz was my Grandfathers Brother and lived in Frostburg, MD. Their mom and dad's names were Andrew & Isabella Smeltz and I am trying to find where around the Frostburg, MD area they were buried.I have not had any luck and only Charlie, his wife Ann and there children and shown at find a grave. since yur name is attached to their file, I was wondering if maybe you could tell me if you are related to the Smeltz family at all. Also, I am going to go to Frostburg in April and see if I can find any additional family information. I have not had any luck locating what cemetery Andrew and Isabella are buried at nor can I find anything on Andrew's mom and dad, Mary & Harry Smeltz. If their is any information you can give me or ideas of where to look for information in Frostburg, it would be greatly appreciated. My E-Mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org Thank You Byron.

Oh, you wonderful human being, you!!! Thank you so much, Byron, for the Memorials and the photos of the Headstones for the Kelso Family! They are little bit, but not much, far flung, but using the information, I've been able to follow up on more of my husband's relatives! I just got so excited! I love this stuff!
May I use your photos of the Headstones on Ancestry.com as long as I give you credit?

|Barbara Muir||RE: Skidmore - Engle|
Sorry Byron, that incorrect date must have been a "typo". The dates on the grave marker for - memorial # 99424525 are correct. Nellie C ENGLE nee Skidmore 1877-1967, husband John Engle 1864-1945 & Nellie's mother Jennett Skidmore nee Sloan 1838-1936. Re info on Francis Skidmore - no memorial found for him just info on family trees on ancestry.com, but wife Jennett was a Widow with 3 youg childre on 1880 US census. Use his info as you wish. Bye Barb Muir Gillespie

Hey Byron, You aren't getting sloppy my friend ....
You may have noticed that I'm doing " A Lot " of memorials for WW II soldier's who died during the war.
In fact I've completed the entire State of Maryland:
I spend about 20 minutes trying to find where each soldier that "Gave His All" during the war was born, their home state, unit they served in and where they are interred, and if they are already on Find A Grave. I even have a couple of friends that help me in this effort.
When I can't find where they are interred it is important, to me, to insure that they are remembered for giving their all .... so I create, with Find A Grave's permission, a "burial unknown" for them. Then one of my researchers checks my "unknown" records and lets me know if they find one now on Find A Grave. Which they did in both of your cases .... So I sent you the edit with the option of keeping yours or deleting yours in favor of mine .... So if I do that again remember you can keep yours and I'll gladly delete mine.
By the way .... Look at both records now and you will see a note and link at the bottom of each that says that you "found the grave". :-)

This is great to know! Thank you, Byron! It's funny, but I think you were the photographer at my aunt's wedding. Her and her husband have lived in Cumberland almost their entire lives. Her name is Hollie James (maiden name: Snyder) and she married Dan James. She said she remembered you and had thought you were also a police officer. I apologize if none of this is correct, but I'm hoping it is. :)
I had two quick questions. I just submitted 2 photo requests for my grandfather's parents, LeRoy Snyder and Madolin Snyder. Both buried at Hillcrest. The issue is, I have no idea which of the 3 it is (there appear to be 3 in Maryland). I'm pretty sure they are both buried at the one in Cumberland and I noticed that you take quite a few photos of folks in that cemetery, as well. So I just wanted to give you a heads-up on this request, in case you happened to take on this project or perhaps already had photos of these two headstones.
Lastly, do you know how I can receive ownership of a person's memorial page if it is a family member of mine, but someone else appears to own it? I'm seeing a few out there.

I wanted to give you another thank you, too, because I noticed that yesterday, you took a photo of two other people I happened to be looking for, located in the same cemetery, Grace and Carl McIntyre. My Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather.I was so happy to see it and shocked that it was taken just yesterday - perfect timing. Again, thank you SO MUCH for this.
