Hi! In regards to your photo request, can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker? Please post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

Forest Home is a huge cemetery with well over 70,000 burials, and the information is needed in order to find someone there and take a photo of a grave. I go here regularly, and since August I have found over 200 graves at Forest Home that had the location information provided. Thank you! Ace

Shelly, I don't know what happened that caused all the messages below! I didn't know how to delete them so I am hoping you can do it. Here's the message I was trying to leave when this happened. As you will see I have added Jasper's Military Marker that I had omitted when I added his other Grave Marker. I apologize. Kaye Harkins McClintock #47734417

Shelly, I see where you say Bessie Sims was Jasper Sims #116744382, 2nd wife and her name was Burbank. Is Burbank her maiden name or the name of her first husband? Also do you have any information on where she was born and died? Any info concerning her would be very much appreciated. Thank you, Kaye Harkins McClintock #47734417

Sarah Ellen Burbank Glathart
Hi Shelly, I can not change Sarah Ellen Burbank
Glathart as I don't have that memorial. Contact
Tim Nabab as he is contributer on her. I didn't add her it just transfered over to John & Christina (Shook), Glathart by his adding info & number.

I did add John Glathart's Parents Johannes & Catherine to him. I can change info on John &
my Christina Shook Glathart or add info.
I would be happy to share anything I have with anyone working Shook or Glathart lines.
Thank you,
Sherry at sljdznr2@hotmail.com

I am happy to help you out by posting the photos. As far as I'm concerned, this website is all about sharing and helping each other.

Yes, you have my permission to use them for yourself.

I would prefer the first choice that you listed.

RE: Eldred and Jeanne Burbank
Feel free to use the photos and if someone else chooses to use them, that's fine too. I can't say that I would ever mind anyone using my photos for personal use. If I found they were making a profit in some way from them, I might see things a little differently but hopefully that wouldn't happen. I'm happy to help people with their family trees.

Thanks for asking and have a wonderful day!
Cindy

I checked with my mother who has the photos, and she said that would be okay. Please say that you have the permission of Velma Kuykendall, etc. and that should be fine... Thanks!

RE: Mary Irwin Whelchel request

You are not driving me nuts -- I think I hit that level a "long time ago". Ha

Yes -- please do keep me posted as to what you find out with this family.

I would like to add dates, links and some information in the bio section.

So, anything you can share with me will certainly be appreciated.

RE: Mary Irwin Whelchel request

I am not related..... just interested in following through on this one.

Sometimes a memorial just "sparks" my curiosity as this one has.

I suppose the other memorial could be the same person, but the dates don't match for her husband, Davis.

BUT -- who's to say which dates are correct for Davis.

I wish I knew how to gain access to more data for Mary and Davis, but I don't.

I sure appreciate all you help - THANKS!

RE: Mary Irwin Whelchel request

I found this -- if you scroll about half way down & look on the right side, it says that the Whelchel Cemetery has been destroyed.

It was at 116th and Olio Road.

RE: Mary Irwin Whelchel request

Thank you for your dedication to my request for a photo.

I hope you are able to find out something.

I've been wondering if maybe down through the years the farm and the little family cemetery may have been destroyed, as so many of those places have been. It seems that big developers have no respect for small cemeteries and/or grave sites.

Good luck in your search and "thanks" again!

RE: Mary Irwin Whelchel request

The only thing I know is that it is on a family farm, which is "private property" and is in Olio, Hamilton Co., Indiana.

If you can't find it -- it's OK.

I just thought if we had a photo of the marker, it may have the birth & death date on it.

Thanks for trying - I do sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you so much. I'm excited to have his memorial. Have been putting pieces of our family together for several years. Thank you for putting him on the web. I live on the west coast and could never have gone back there to look. Pat
