|Jezebel||RE: Edith McCormick Bowden|
Hi Steven, would you be able to link my (Find A Grave Memorial# 3690979) Grandma Edith aka Mick to her dads memorial page? I guess I may have to set up her own page, because hers was added by the Veterans Affairs directly. Please email me at email@example.com. I do not have any information about our Great Grandfathers parents, but I keep looking. I only have information from the "Joe Dan Chronicles" the family newsletter that used to be sent out from cousin Tom McCormick, Dublin, California. thanks again Ann Bowden

Hi Steven, Your great-grandfather Elvis is my Grandmas Brother, my Fathers Uncle. My Grandmother is Edith McCormick Bowden, known as Mick or Mickey. She and my grandfather Paul Post Bowden lived in Long Beach, California and are buried in the Los Angeles Veterans Cemetary on Sawtelle and Wilshire Blvd. I found an old family newsletter "Joe Dan's Chronicle" dated Feb. 1998, in my drawer on Sunday and read about Elvis and decided to google his name.. Contact me if you would like.

Excuse then, the problem originated with me! I don't know what I was thinking when I created the entry. I checked the VA record, and it doesn't have a birth date or show being born in OH, and I checked my other sources of info, and he doesn't show there. So my note error and birth info seem to be total errors on my part. My apologies.

Your 'note' update for him appears to be incomplete....

I am entering the names and interment sites for the cemetery. I will post them on the sites you have opened for you to put on, if you wish!

Sadly, there is not a headstone for this plot. However I did take a photo of the area so that you can see where they are buried. I will upload it shortly.

Before I throw this away I should ask if you would like a map of their Plot.
I will send via email if you want it.

Are you related to the Penney's or the Allen's. If so, I will be glad to transfer the memorial to you from Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima.

Glad to help with solving the mystery. Even though I don't know the people buried I enjoy the excitement of helping someone piece together their family trees. I plan to go to the cemetery on Thursday or Friday and will post a picture just as soon as I can. If there are any other relatives buried there let me know and I would be happy to photograph their markers too.

I apologize! I just found where you listed the plot number in the memorial description, so I will claim that request and try to fulfill it for you when I go there later this week!

|Lynnette M.||Larry Nolan photo request|
Hello! I would love to claim your photo request for Larry Nolan at Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver, WA. But, that cemetery is so big that it would take days to walk through all the grave sites and try to locate Larry. But if you can provide me with at least a Section # I can sure go and hunt for them.
Also, here is the contact information for the Cemetery where you made a photo request if you don't have that information:
Park Hill Cemetery
5915 East Mill Plain Boulevard
Vancouver, WA 98661-6949
Contact them and ask them for the grave location of the grave you want photographed. Cemeteries often give such grave locations as a type of grave address, for example plot, lot or section number, row number and grave or space number. Funeral home services and Cemetery staff at some locations are more friendly and helpful to family members of the deceased than they are to volunteer photographers. Volunteers seeking graves to photograph them sometimes get brushed off because Funeral homes and Cemeteries are businesses and people who work at them feel that there are more valuable ways to spend their time than helping volunteers. Usually a person who can claim to be a relative or friend of the deceased gets more helpful response. So, I am sending you the contact information of the Cemetery where you have made a photo request. Call them or write to them and ask them for exact grave locations of your loved one. Write down the grave location at the cemetery. Then send me a message letting me know where the grave location is at the cemetery.
As soon as I receive the grave locations for this cemetery, I will go there on my day off and try to fullfill your photo request with the grave location you provide to me.
