I don't usually hang on to requests too long (or try not to). Glad you're happy with the picture. :-)

|Sherri||RE: Hattie Bowlby|
No need to transfer Hattie's memorial. She is not my family. I was just fulfilling a photo request. Thank you.

|Jim Cartwright||RE: John Weisgerber|
John, his wife Mary, and their daughter Minnie are all buried at this location. I added pictures to Mary and Minnie's site and linked the memorials together, as soon as the edit is approved. Minnie's name is on the south face of the large monument, John's is on the west side, and Mary's is on the north side. The three small markers are just west of the large monument. Mary and John's read Mother and Father.

Gary, just to let you know that your photo request for Dorothy has been fulfilled, by another person. You might consider removing your request.
Thanks Robert Noah

I've deleted my memorial which appears to have been a duplicate.

Nothing is wrong... It looks so nice! I just want to thank whoever is responsible. I thought that it might be you, since you took the photos.

You're welcome, Gary. I like giving people credit for the information they found, and it also helps site visitors know whom to contact with questions about the information.

I declined your request because I had just added them about 20 min before your request was recived.
What am I to say???

You need more than "you believe" it to be a duplicate before contacting someone to delete a memorial. I have found people named after grandparents with the same name and or similar same name's and buried in the same cemetery. Please have "facts" before posting. There is no other "Anna" Campbell there. Thanks.

Hi Gary, I guess I filled the photo request for Clarence Ruthruff. I did not even know there was one pending. His stone also has a Lloyd and Julia Ruthruff. Do you know who they are? I will be creating memorials for them soon. Thanks!

I apologize for taking awhile to respond, but I was out of town for the holidays.
Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of Grandma Olga's obituary. I just got off the phone with R. Lee Williams Funeral Home in St. Petersburg who handled her arrangements. They did not have a copy of her obit in her file, but did have a record that they submitted to the St. Petersburg Times on 7/17/1985. The St. Petersburg Times no longer exists and is now the Tampa Bay Times.
I did a search on the Tampa Bay Times obituary index, but it doesn't go back that far. I know from experience that newspaper companies only keep current obituaries and then they are archived elsewhere. I question is where?
If you happen to locate Olga's, I would love to have a copy.

|Sheri Pope Tarman||RE: Francis McLeod|
I wll look up the obituary for Francis McLeod after Christmas. I checked Glen Oaks again and the only Francis McLeod interred there was for the son. There is an Elaine Maude Ford buried at Glen Oaks, along with her husband Ray. I entered that gravesite just in case there was a relationship.

|Merf||RE: William R Sellers|
Actually, I did go out and look at it today. It doesn't look cleaned. It's under a tree and just grows mold or lichens or whatever pretty heavily. I think it's actually worse than when the pic was taken. It must be due soon. I noticed some markers looked pretty good in one half of the section....perhaps they are working their way towards it.
I go in that section quite often, so I'll keep an eye out for an opportunity to get a better pic.
I don't know if you can request it to be cleaned or not - but that's an idea... Call the cemetery and ask for Don Price. The secretary, Olga, has an accent that is quite difficult to understand over the phone. She's awesome, but hard to understand sometimes. Don is always there after 1:00 - he works in the city archives in the mornings. He's the cemetery boss.

They clean them all on a rotation, every few years. I can go see if it looks better now since that pic is old.

|Mn8X||RE: Cornelius Richards Sr.|
According to the cemetery reading from 1992, it says "Joined church in 1823"
The inscription on his wife, Sarah Wyker's headstone says "A faithful member Presbyterian Church for 55 yrs."
