RE: Georgia Ellen Burgner Gray
I know she will. She wrote me a note this morning and I told her about it.

It is a copyright issue. I am just glad you were understanding.

RE: Georgia Ellen Burgner Gray
I see that now...that Georgia was on her husband's stone. I guess I was depending on Sue Roberts to have gotten that right. I know her well. The problem cannot transfer Sue's photo to Georgia's memorial because it is not your photo. I actually have to ask you to remove it to keep within the Find A Grave guidelines. So you get reprimanded for finding something. That doesn't seem right, but that's the way it is I guess. I can ask Sue Roberts to add the photo then.

I'm sorry. Just following rules. Thank you so very much!

Hi, my name is Lloyd Rex Gatten Jr, my Grandmother was Nelle Arlene Copp. I am so glad to have found John Eli Copp's burial site. I believe he is my
great, great Grand father. I have a painting that I believe is of him from 1897. I would be happy to e-mail you some photos of it if you like. Do you have any information about the Copp homestead in Winchester? Please e-mail me at
Hope to hear from you soon, Lloyd

You did not provide any memorial #'s or what information your are wanting. Will wait for your response. Please email rather than posting questions like this on the Profile page. Almost missed it.

Dear Linda, I have a few Bockius postings in the above mentioned cemetery. I will transfer them to you. Sorry about the two previous attempts at sending this message. I have a cat who likes to 'help' me type.

Dear Linda,

Thank you for the information but I noticed when I went to input that mine were duplicates of earlier postings. The earlier postings have the edits you requested and my newer duplicates have been deleted.

Linda - I do not know anything about the Bockius family. I entered the data from a local book with records of the PC cemetery. I grew up in PC and my family is all in the Catholic cemetery. I saw the article you posted. Interesting. Family history sometimes finds untold stories.

There is a Museum in PC which might be able to help

My cousin Ron Landoll is head of the board.

Hello Linda,
Thought you might want to update the above memorial with the following info:
Born: Brunswick County, Virginia
Died: Petersburg, VA in 1947 as per her grave marker.
The located in the middle of the square and was tipped over when I found it a couple of years ago. I had it remounted on the base and now you can read all four sides. I am not related to the Buckius but lived from 1947 - 1959 at 324 St. Andrew Street, next door to them. They were wonderful people and I was very close to Mamie (Mary Emma)Buckius. I was a child and worked (age 2) when I moved next door and used to work in the garden alongside Miss Mamie.

Linda Gray
Martha Elizabeth Milburn 1862-1862

I believe the birth and death dates are incorect.
She wouldn't have been alive to marry George Washington Gray, nor had their seven children.

Hope this helps,
Linda Gray

RE: Elizabeth (Copp) Good
Went by the headstone. Our family also has found dates all over the place, so we hoped the headstone might be more correct.
Of course, headstones are also notoriously wrong.
Without knowing who gave the info for the headstone, using that info might be a big gamble too. Gail

Sure, I'll be happy to take care of the TE & Catherine Mathes memorials. I'm very new at this, but hope that I can manage not to foul it up.
I will forward via your email the info I have re their children.

Hello - well after I left you the message I went back and realized it could be enlarged. :) It was the internment doc.

Would it be possible for another upload of a larger size photo of the internment doc for Joseph and Margaret Bockius at Ivy Hill Cemetery? Margaretta rex 37244396.

RE: George & Mary Copp
Hi, Linda, You are actually the third "cousin" I've met through Find A Grave. Alice Morton is a Stultz, B.J. Waters is a Baker, and now I meet a Copp. You're right -- everyone in (or from) the Shenandoah Valley is related in some way. My husband is from Massachusetts, but in the 18th Century he had ancestors from the Valley named Anthony. He and I joke that we're a pair of married cousins! It's nice to meet you. Janice

Copp descendant
Hello, Linda, George and Mary Copp were my great-great-grandparents. I am descended through their daughter Frances Baker, whose daughter Mary Belle Stultz was the mother of my father John Stanford Stultz. It's a pleasure to connect with you through Find A Grave. Janice aka Tigress
