Walter Wallace Tapscott
Hello,

A month or so back I sent you a private message asking to have my cousin Walter Wallace Tapscott at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery transferred to me. I thought that I would post it here since you are not responding to your email.

Thank you,

Dan

RE: Swain's in Fort Drum
My sister lives in Okeechobee. She works in Ft. Drum. I love taking pictures of out of the way cemeteries. Ft. Drum is one of my favorite. Her inlaws are buried at Basinger Cemetery, another favorite of mine. When I visit her, I take pictures while she is working. The Swain family caught my interest because of the names of the children.

Shaver Memorials
Sheila,

Back in October, I sent you both an email and a public message about the Shaver Memorials at Grandview Cemetery. But as of yet, I have not received any responses. Could you please communicate with me in regard to these memorials. I think it is possible that we may be related to each other as well as to the Shavers. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Jerry Shaver

Hi please note he is not on the cemetery listings and I will ask Carol to do the same, it appears from the d.c. that he should be there. Hopefully we will find him. I will remove my note on the request so that you can send it out again or leave it there if you need to. Thanks I do hope we find a photo.

He Sheila, I have been sorting through a ton of pictures and found one of his marker out at the Old City Cemetery that I posted to your memorial. Gives you a little bit more information about his unit. He is buried in Grave 7, Row 1, Lot 159.

Please contact me at kalel1126@ yahoo.com if you have information you can share. And yes, I agree with you, Find A Grave is a great resource. Thank you.

Sorry I put the same message here twice. I forgot to add my Findagrave number on the first one. Then I discovered that I couldn't delete the first one after I had posted the second one. Sorry for putting so much in your area.

Grandview Cemetery & the Shavers
Sheila Parcell,

Both of you and Gwen Smith have memorials listed for Ada Shaver at the Grandview Cemetery in Dunbar, WV. You list yours as Ada Arlene Shaver, and Gwen lists hers as Ada A. Shaver. These are duplicates as they are both the same person. There is a Shaver plot in this cemetery, and I was wondering if either or both of you are related. If so, then we are probably all related to each other as Ada was my aunt, and all of the Shavers there are either aunts and uncles, grandfather, and greatgrandmother. If neither of you are related, I would like the memorials for all the Shavers in the plot transferred to me to administer. If you are related, then we need to eliminate one of the memorials since they are duplicates (and I think others are duplicated also). I also have pictures of the gravesites as well as some pictures of the relatives buried there and biographical information. I would also like to link all of these Shavers in this plot as well as to other relatives here in Kanawha County and in the state of Ohio (for example William C. Shaver's wife is buried in Ohio with their two year old daughter). Please let me know what we can do about the duplication and administration of these sites. If you are related, I am not trying to take anything away from what you are doing. Gwen has already given me her four Shavers to administer. If you would like to let me have the ones you have listed to administer, I will eliminate the duplicates and add what I know about my relatives. Thanks.

The Nelson's burials
If you're unsure if they're suppose to be buried at Beason Cemetery, then their monuments might turn up in another cemetery.
