Achsah Davis Knight
Will do, been look for her burial place for a long time. Keep getting info on another Achsah Davis, everything about the same, but not the right one. Hopefully someone will come up with a photo. How do you connect in the Knight family tree, I am a descendent of Richard and Sarah Rogers Knight's son David Knight.

Charles Hildebrand FAG# 78641033
Hello Addie, Thank you for creating the memorial for Charles Hildebrand and for including a photograph of his headstone.

Charles served in the Civil War in the 134th Regiment, New York State Volunteer Infantry.

I had an ancestor who served in the same unit. I do research on the unit and have created a Find A Grave Virtual Cemetery for the unit (216 names and counting).

Charles's memorial does not list him as being a member of the 134th, instead he is listed as being a member of the “34th”, or contain any of his military record, which I have from the Adjutant-General's Report for the unit. If you look very closely at the headstone photograph you can just make out the “1” before the “34” in the regiment number.

If you would like to, you could transfer his memorial to me, and I'll add his military details, or I could send them to you to add to his Find A Grave Memorial "Bio".

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hi Addie,
Thanks for the information on Helen. I never would have found that if you hadn't told me. How did you know?!
I added that and more to Helen's memorial.
Thank you!
Sincerely,

Parents of Naomi Moor Pease
Naomi Moor Pease (#64479643) was born 1741. Elizabeth Case Moor (#60415437) cannot be the mother of Naomi as Elizabeth died in 1739. Plus she would have been about 52 years old when Naomi was born. Elizabeth and William Moor (#120105160) must be the couple reported as Naomi's parents. I think someone read the church records wrong.

RE: Lydia Langdon Buckland
You are welcome. I did note on the plot marker photo caption that Charles (1865-1942) and, I believe, their daughter -Dorothy B. Davis(1901-1981) and her husband Earle M. Davis (1893-1958), are all buried in the same plot. There are not memorials to post photos to, however.
Regards,
Terry

RE: Bingham
You're very welcome! Sorry for the shadows, but the marker is very close to the trees. But at least the photos are clearer and we can verify that the date of death was 1934.

RE: McChesney's in Oakwood
Yes, the roads are bad, but our weather just kills them, particularly the downpours that wash out the hilly roads. They actually did pave one road around section 48 that was just horrible, so I guess they are working on it. I think they are still trying to get the cemetery in shape from the Labor Day storm 15 years ago when over a thousand trees came down and damaged markers. There are just too many needs in a cemetery that large.

I updated the picture and it clearly says 1888. It wouldn't be the first time the stone and obit have had different dates.
