Ms. Robbins: I should clarify my first message to you - Mr. Hale contacted me today because my name is listed in the Tulsa directory. I did a Google search and discovered your info on this forum so volunteered to leave a message that includes his email address to enable you to respond (in case my message was unclear lol).

Thanks and have a great day!

RE: Jesse Lee Godwin
found her parents died in 9/1982 and 5/1987 in Denton, Denton, Texas. Her brother Lester died 3/12/1994 in Tyler, Smith Co TX.
I did find them in 1940 in Kaufman TX but neither Julie or Jesse lived at home with the parents at that time. Lester and Glennie and then two twins, Jane and Joan age 6 lived in the household with the parents.
Sorry was supposed to AF/AM for African American.
If she was not listed in the parents obit, I would think possibly she passed, but I find no record of that. When is the last time she saw her sister? In what state?

RE: Jesse Lee Godwin
I did find Jesse and Julia on the census in Texas in 1930, I checked for Jesse Lee anything born in 1920 for the 1940 census and found two possibilities, one other is she is AF/AM,

One in 1940 is Jesse Lee Hudson just married to Willie B Hudson in Pampa, Gray Texas they are white from Texas.

The other one is a lady named Jesse Lee Wells from Texas that in 1940 resided in San Diego California, she is divorced and had a son named Jesse Elmer Wells. She is white.

For AF/AM there was a Jesse Lee Edwards married to Andrew, from Upshur Texas

I'm not sure if Texas has marriage records on ancestry. I'll check.....Cat

Anne Louise Stapleford Hollingsworth
Linda,

I'm sorry to hear about your sister-in-law's death. Please give my condolences to your brother as well. I am truly sorry for your loss. Anne was my 1st cousin once removed. Her father (Zeb Stapleford) was my grandfather's (Cassius Clay Stapleford) youngest brother.

I appreciate your contacting me because I did not have her in my family tree. The only children I had for Zeb and Ada Belle Stapleford were twins, Carol and Pau.

I have traced the Stapleford family tree back to my 4th great grandfather. If you are interested in the information, I would be more than happy to share it with you.

Ms. Robbins,
Hi My name is Bryan. I'm not sure if you are the correct person to contact. But I recently purchased a scrapbook at a Hot Springs, Arkansas auction. It was put together in 1923 by Catherine Lea Littlejohn. I'm assuming it may be wanted by a grandchild or someone that was close to her. I'd be glad to give it to someone that it would be dear to. Thank you Bryan 501-545-9779

William Williams
William my husband's paternal 3rd great-grandfather, to his son Jacob Givhan to his son Walter H. Running into a problem recently from another family member related to William Williams stating that Walter H. Williams is not the son of Jacob Givhan Williams. I cannot find a death cert for Walter to prove parentage at this time. Very fustrating.

I have been doing research since 1996 and just recently started on my husband's family. I have worked on my former husband's family and my father's family. My maternal aunt has done a large by hand research of my mother's family since the early 1970's. It is in my blood. I find ti fascinating.

Glad to have "met" you. I am on Ancestry, coletrane2.

RE: Allie Little
Leroy Little, Allie's son, was my childhood friend. We lived accross the street from each other in the early 1940's in Goose Creek Tx. Our families had moved to the area from Elkhart to work in the local oil refinery. Leroy and I once visited his grandmother, Mary Little, at her farm east of Elkhart.
