Thank you so much for the photo! I will see if I can find any more info on Annie L. Verner. I do have him listed with a 1st wife named Clonie, born in Texas about 1916. I do know he married Annie in Los Angeles County on 17 May 1974.

Thanks so much for all of your incredible work, and thanks for this input.
It is a little bewildering - the number locations at IPC and more than once I've experienced the inability to locate a grave, based on the plot numbers.
Really appreciate your input and work.
Regards
Paulette

Thank you B.J. Perhaps we have two La Verne Webb graves at IPC, as there is now a photo of the headstone for the one I was searching.

See Memorial #161574712

You are so kind to have tried. So this is where he was buried, but no headstone? If Ii went there they could tell me the plot?

RE: Leonard's photo request.
Yes I ordered a marker a few weeks ago. The marker, once it is installed should include both their names. It should be within the next week, I may be going to inglewood tomorrow morning to meet with one of the Cemetery counsleors. That should speed things along

RE: Coincidence -
Really? I believe you're talking about the house on 17029 Atkinson Avenue. My father lived there back in 1995 before you came to Las Vegas, that is the house my father and grandfather grew up in. My dad also went to school at caismir middle school and North High School which are walking distance from at house. What a coincidence indeed, wait so if you live that close to the house... I wonder if by chance you know a good friend of mine that lives in that area and he was a good friend of my father's...? His name is Steve Kleinbauer, a tall gentlman with gray hair and a mustache. He's also a US Army veteran and has lived in that area almost 40 years possibly even longer.

B.J.: Snowbird Wingo's family was always told she was part Native American.... her grandson had the DNA test done to be sure... she wasn't!
Thank you for making the changes!

RE: Lenard Hedstrom
Dear B. J. I apologize for the late reply. I would like to thank you for fulfilling my request for my great-grandfather Leonard Hedstrom. How unfortunate it is he doesn't have a headstone. I actually just recently lost my own father who was named after his grandfather. My father was Leonard Eugene Hedstrom. He passed away early this year due to lung cancer along with terminal cancer in the brain and Bone. After he passed away I had him cremated and buried him with his father Gerald Hedstrom who was Leonard Victor HHedstrom' only son. My name is Sean Michael hedstrom. Anyways thank you again for the photo. lastly, if you don't mind me asking is there anyway I can contribute in any way for him to have even a simple grave marker? From what I knew he was a veteran from what my father told me. I'm pretty sure he fought overseas. Anyways thank you once again

sincerely, hedstrom antuna

RE: LeRoy Durnil
Actually, identifying the veterans who are buried in an unmarked grave is a positive outcome. This should have been taken care of at the time of his death, but now that it is identified we can start contacting people in California to get the grave marked. By taking this photo you have helped in this process. I didn't realize there were so many veterans buried in unmarked graves! They are usually single, widowed, or divorced so there probably wasn't a spouse to request a marker.

Then don't you think that the Bio section should give an explanation about her names? Just a thought.

I want to thank you again for your sage advise! When I'm following a branch in my family tree, I get over enthusiastic and probably search the branch further than I should. I will stay with my close family research and not go much further than that. Although everyone that I search and find are in my family tree - they are and can be very distant.

I may continue the research, but will not post any information ouside of my own tree.

Thank you again,

BJ, Thank you! You are FABULOUS. The grand daughter(in Missouri) had no idea where in the world they had been buried. She is delighted that her brick wall has been broken down.
Have a great Weekend!
