|Megan Heyl||RE: Alice Haynes Rice|
If you are on Facebook, add the Momence Genealogy Corner to your likes (you must like them). They are going thru old papers, scanning and posting on their site. I was bored one night and decided to post a group of them onto any memorials on Find A Grave that I could find. I am no relation, but am so totally thrilled that one re-post found family!
I would direct you to their society for any additional information - they seem to do quite a bit.
Your note made my day - sorta makes you glad you stay up late and help others ( or hope it helps others!)

|Claudette Brown Hackworth||Myers - Brown|
I am with you on the attitude thing!! This is a site to honor others, not yourself. Also, I was wondering if you knew anything further about Leah Myers Dickey Brown. I am searching for Acsah Myers Brown. I think she have married Stephen Brown. I also see that you have Smith/Rice connections and so do I. Any response is greatly appreciated!

|Roberta M Rice||Lewis Cass Rice|
I believe I am related through Lewis' first wife, my grandfather is James Cassie Rice, youngest son of Sarah E. Franklin.
My name is Roberta M. Rice, nickname Beanie, have been looking for this information for years and a friend found you through findagrave. Have seen the info on Lewis, which is a name I did not associate with the Rice family, so cast it aside, only in the memorial was I convinced when it mentioned Sarah.
Awesome picture of him. Looking forward to finding more pictures and information.
Thank you, Beanie

Thank you so much for posting a photo of my grandparents (Homer Franklin & Elverna Welch) grave markers. I don't get to Denver much and have not been able to take a photo for myself.
I would also like to thank you for giving permission to use the photo in my family tree.
Are you a relative ??

I'm not sure if we are related, possible distant cousins. We would probably be related through Mary Marvin Ely Starling #31601461.
I was wondering if you do have pictures of her and/or family. If you do, I would sign up for your personal website.
I have to say, I love your BIO. I feel the exact same way. :)
Have a good evening,

|Viv Frazier||RE: William and Elizabeth Frazier|
Wow! Thank you again! I've been looking for Genevieve, (William's sister) and I suspect William M. is William T. and Elizabeth's son, if his middle initial stands for Merritt. I know they had a son who went by Merritt. Anyway, you have made my day again!

Thank you so much for your timely response to my request. I am thrilled beyond belief. Have been trying to find these graves for some time, and now I actually have photos. How wonderful. Can hardly wait to share with family. I only wish my in-laws were still here, to share with.
Please know your efforts are deeply appreciated. I fully understand about real life getting in the way of our hobby.
Again, thanks so much!!!

Thank you very much for the photo's of Olive and Clark. I did add Clark to the Cemetery. If you did a photo of just his stone, I would like that too.

Thank you for taking the time to go out to photograph the headstone for Isabelle Mess. I didn't realize there isn't a headstone. Appreciate that you did take a photo. Do you know if they don't allow headstones or have flat ones there?

|Mary Schatz||RE: Herbert Hansen|
I also noticed that the son's name is spelled Hansen but the father's spelled Hanson. That's how the names sure in the cemetery records. When all this snow melts, I'll have to go to the cemetery and get pictures of the markers. I think I will check on an obituary, too.

Andrew - I added the bio to his memorial. Yes, it is a sad story. Did you notice that his first name is misspelled on the stone?

|M. Davidson||Rice Family|
Was wondering if you have any info on a Pearl Freada (Rice) Foster? I'm in OR but just found out my Dad's bio family was from IN. Her husband was Adelma Richard Foster, and her daughter was Doris Jean (Foster)Harper. Doris died in 1950 after giving birth to my Dad from Polio.

|James E Heidlebaugh||Clarence C Sumner|
All of the Sumner family is related to me through both my Gordon family and my Barham family. You can contact me at email@example.com. I would like the info on Clarence and his descendents for m files. Many years ago I wrote a book on the so called Thomas Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, which is actually the Old Gordon Cemetery. Patrick Henry Gordon was my great-great grandfather. He was a brother to John Gordon and is buried a little further down the line from Thomas Lincoln, father of the President. I first wrote about Daniel T Barham in my book. His grave was marked by two pieces of petrified wood. There is now a bronze marker on his grave right next to Thomas Lincoln. It was the six Gordon Boys that arranged for Thomas Lincoln's funeral, made his coffin and carved his originl tombstone. These six Gordon Boys were his paulbearers.

Thanks for sharing the obit on Mary. Do you know the source so we can post that as well? I will also post a jpeg of another funeral notice on her on her site.
Are you a relation to her? She is my 3rd great-grandmother.
