Sheridan Elks Cemetery
Hello, would you be willing to go to the following memorials and add your photo of the cemetery to the memorials? I have added the one for Peggy, but it doesn't give proper credit. If you could add the same photo, let me know when you do so I can go back and delete mine. If you could add the same photo to her husband's, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you!

RE: Juanita Cobb photo request
We can post it if you want to get a photo. Maybe I should email who created the memorial and see if they can check their records of her last name.

RE: Juanita Cobb photo request
I am not certain, all that I know about Juanita is what is posted on her memorial. It might be that the person that posted the info got the names wrong.

RE: Kate Gillis Photo Request
That would be great if you could take a pic of the area.
Thank you for looking for James. He died about 15 years before her. So it doesn't surprise me that he wasn't there. But thanks to your work I can mark that cemetery of my list of possible cemeteries for him.
Thanks again for your assistance,
Janine

Kate Gillis Photo Request
Thank you for looking for Kate Gillis' Headstone.
I am not the creator nor manager of the memorial. So I am unsure where they got the location of her grave.

But if it helps Kate's full name is Nora Kathryn "Kate" Neese Gillis. She was married to James Burdette "J.B." Gillis. The memorial states that the plot was owned by Ida Gillis and she does have a daughter named Ida.
If you are unable to find it, I understand and really appreciate all of the time and effort you are putting into finding her.
Thanks again,
Janine

Meda (Graves) Culbertson
Thank you so much for taking the photo of Meda's final resting place. I am saddened to know she does not have a stone, but glad to know she is buried between her siblings - brother Roy and sister Ona. Would you mind if I post it on my tree on ancestry.com? I would credit you as the source.

Thanks in advance for your consideration. I truly appreciate it!

I had forgotten the names of the children for the Hosburg family. Their children were Gwen and a son Greg. So, yes I do need the photo for Gwen. Thanks for reminding me.

Marsha Hanson Dillon
RE: Joseph Garriffa
Actually the Bellevue cemetery was purchased as a private cemetery in the 1930's. The plots were much more expensive than in the Sheridan Municipal. Families had to do their own maintenance on their plots. It turned out to not be a successful venture. Afterward, several people bought the cemetery. People began to worry about their loved ones buried there so they moved them to the Sheridan Municipal.

In the 1980's the City of Sheridan purchased it.

Yes, we do live near Keosauqua, a wonderful small Iowa town. The Villages of Van Buren County are wonderful to visit especially in the fall.

I can not connect the Gwen Johns memorial at this time, but probably is a family member. Thanks again for taking the stone photos. I do really appreciate your help.
