So happy you left flowers and a note on his grave in Michigan. It verified that I wasn't going crazy searching this strange Alabama family of my late husband's cousins. It seems the father Jessie William Clayton took off and started another family with Etta Mae Sims (sister of Alice Leona Sims?) in Sunflower County Mississippi and ended up in Desha County, Arkansas. I just linked Orville to his parents, and I'll bet there'll be a squawk from other kids who didn't know they had four half-siblings left behind in Morgan County, Alabama. Barbara Tynes Claiborne

Side note
Seems you have some people that several of us are directly related to, I am fine with you maintaining the Memorials. Wouldn't be fair to transfer to one, when ALL of us are pretty much related on the same basis. Sure wish he had a stone, or better yet, a photo would be outstanding, to see what he looked like ;)

RE: James Chapman
I may just have the 2 confused right now, working nights (all night, literally) and no sleep, but have all the names, I am a direct decendent.

Typo there.. *sighs*

I also wanted to know if you had the links to the parents of, well darn, have to come back with the link, but saw the Surname Carpenter, my great grandmom was Mary A Carpenter. married to James "Jim" Issac Allen. All of them are buried in the Allen/Carpenter Cemetery in Lynnwood. Have tried going there a couple times, but honestly, need to take a few people with me. the Cemetery is a mess, and I have been unable to speak with current owner of the Farm that my Grandparents owned, speaking with people that have attempted to go were confronted with a "not so nice lady" and dogs that resembled pitbulls. I don't want EITHER to bite me lol

James Chapman
Hello there!

I am also curious regarding my GGGG-Grandfather James Chapman. I have his place of birth as New Hampshire, and like others, wondering if you have more information. Did you find his name in the listings of the Chapman Cemetery? I am also curious as if a stone is still there standing, was there ever a stone, or is it underground?

Any help would be appreciated.

RE: William Culver/Mt Tabor Cemetery
What info did you base the fact he is buried here?

I have a couple of numbers to call that might have more info. I'm at work so don't have time to call today.

Gerald Yeager / 256-773-2949

JB Lawrence / 256-773-9676

You might get more info from them. If we can verify it is there I will be more than happy to get a pic.

Bobby Thomas
Hi Deborah, Bobby Thomas is my stepfather, and is very much alive, watching tv in the next room.I sent a message a while back to Find A Grave about this, as it was my understanding that memorial pages for those still among the living is not preferable or recommended. I will be happy to send you a pic of the crypt that has my Mom's name, who is deceased, along with his name, of course with no dod, if you need one .But the memorial page for him really creeps me out, and maybe I sent the request to remove it to the wrong person, I don't know.Thank you. Patricia

RE: Concord Cemetery
I spent three days at the Concord Cemetery and I photographed every headstone. All of these were added to findagrave. There were several graves that had weathered away and were blank, your family members may have been on of these. I did not see either Wards or Rays. Sorry.

Chapman Cemetery
I just went over to the Chapman Cemetery and there are no stones of any kind for my ancestor James Chapman, born 1780, probably in N.C. and died before 1860 in Giles County, Tenn. I am interested in any documentation you have that will help me to prove he is buried here. If he ever had a tombstone and it is possibly underground, my husband is experienced at raising tombstones and restoring the area around them. James's son Sam had a son named James Monroe. His daughter, Nora, married, Milton Aaron Owen in Giles County, Tenn. Their daughter, Eula Mae Owen Carvell was my mother's mother.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Deborah. I drove around where I was told it might be and could not find it. If I ever get better directions and the land owner allows me access I will try to get your photograph

Do you have any idea where this cemetery is? The library says it is a private cemetery on private land but no directions could be found.
