High Deborah
I too have a Henry Clay Sprowls 1833-1895
Son of William Sprowls #31475560 and Dorcas Towne#
31475588. Who were the parents of your Henry Clay? I couldn't find him or Mary Magdalena Stollar or Margaret Sprowls Smith in Find A Grave.

Thank you for the information.

Hello Deborah
Thank you for leaving Virtual flowers on William's Memorial and for his Obituary.

Are you related to the Sprowls family?
I am a relative of the Sprowls family. How did you find his obituary?

Thank you very much.

Thomas Sinclair
I saw your request for Thomas Sinclair's picture in Twin Valley Memorial Park. I have taken a lot of pictures but have not indexed them yet. Can you call and find out what section the person is in? Then I can search for them.

Thanks
Franny

Hi! I called the Village of Breckenridge office to find out where he is buried. They told me B605. There is only a foundation for a marker there. But that foundation looks like it is not new. You might want to call to make sure that is where he is. If I was given wrong information, let me know and I can go back out. :) Jamye

Reminder for William & Amelia Rector
Can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker?

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

This cemetery will not assist photo volunteers with finding the grave's location and the Find A Grave FAQs (Help File) states it is the photo requestors job to provide this information.

Thank you! Ace

RE: Pleasant Hill Deerwalk Cemetery
The stone for Jesse says that he is the s/o H. and L. South. Died June 12, 1852. I couldn't make out the aged part, it is really worn. I realize that I made several mistakes in my transcription. It was one of the first ones that I did and hadn't yet discovered that if you use a wire brush and clean off the years of accumulated gunk it makes them more legible. I took another photo of Jesse's stone that is a little more close up. I also cleaned Lucinda's (wife of Samuel)and took another photo. I posted them on their memorials.

South Stones in Pleasant Hill
I went back to the cemetery today and cleaned the South stones. I re-took pictures for Susie, Christinie, Bartley, and Elizabeth. The new pictures turned out much better. I was unable to find stones for Sarah and the Elizabeth that died in 1835. Hope this helps.

I didn't have a lot of time today while I was there, so I will try to get up there again soon to take a better look. I can't make any promises thought, it is true that many of the stones are in horrible shape. I have family buried in that cemetery as well. Thank you for your kind words, it is always nice to hear that I have helped someone in there search.

Hi! In regards to your photo request, can you please call the cemetery and obtain the grave location (Section & Lot numbers) and ask them whether or not there is a grave marker? Please post this information to the memorial or send it to me.

Forest Home Cemetery: 708-366-1900 or 773-287-0772

Forest Home is a huge cemetery with well over 70,000 burials, and the information is needed in order to find someone there and take a photo of a grave. I go here regularly, and since August I have found over 200 graves at Forest Home that had the location information provided. Thank you! Ace

photo request for Mildred Will
If you call the cemetery and get the burial location I will go out and take the photos that you requested. Due to privacy laws this cemetery will not give out grave locations to non-family members.
You can email me direct at szalko67@msn.com or post the plot number on your memorial pages and I'll keep an eye out for them.

RE: Santa Ana Cemetery
You are very welcome. I was surprised to find a headstone, but it helped when you told me that they often substituted a "b" for a "v". Santa Ana Cemetery was established in either 1873 or 1878 and is one of the oldest in the county. So it's hard to say where anyone in 1863 would have been buried. Glad I could be of help to you. Chris

Hi Deborah: No I'm not sure Ysidro is a female, sorry I just used the female tense. If you know, how old would he have been when he died?

RE: Santa Ana Cemetery
You are very welcome. I'm still working on Ysidro Alvarado. I don't believe she is marked, but I need to do further research on her. The section in which 3 of your requests were buried has very sparse headstones with a lot of little blank concrete headstones. Sometimes it is hard to pinpoint an exact location. I did take a photo of a headstone that was within 6 spaces of her today, so I'll make another trip and I should either find a headstone or be able to pinpoint her location. I have her death date too that I'll add to the photo. Chris

I'm sorry to report that her grave was unmarked. However, I was able to ascertain her exact death date from an early CA Death Index. I posted a photo with that information printed on it.

I was also able to ascertain an exact death date for Ignacio Alvarado of 10/4/1927. Chris
