Here is more information if you wish to use:

WEST DENNIS Herbert C. Chase, age 85, passed away Oct. 16, 2009. He was the son of the late Herbert C. and Lucile (Anderson) Chase. His grandfather and great-grandfather were sea captains.

Born in South Dennis, Herbert "Red" lived in West Dennis most of his life. He graduated from Yarmouth High School and attended Emory University while in the Navy. Red was a veteran of World War II. He inherited many gifts of music and the love of performing from his mom, who had traveled with Vaudeville for many years. During the Depression, he brought in money for the family by winning talent shows at the movie theaters around the Cape. He later played the piano at the Riverway and met his beloved wife Kay when he played at the Mill Hill Club where she was a waitress. Golf was one of Red's greatest passions and he won the Massachusetts State Junior Championship at age 16. He collected trophies too numerous to mention over his golf career and loved the competition and all of the friends he made through golf.

Red was the owner of Red Chase Lumber and Epac Window for many years, as well as the Plantation Motel and the Red Spear Motel he owned with his friend, Spear Holway. He also designed Cooper's Creek Golf Course in South Carolina, which he built with Spear.

Survivors include daughters Holly and her husband, Richard Martin, of Virginia, and Lane and her husband, Bill Warren, of Georgia; a sister, Lora Nowotne of Chestertown, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mt. Moriah Cemetery
Mount Moriah Cemetery is located in both Philadelphia County and Delaware County. Would you be kind enough to delete this entry and add it to the Mount Moriah with the Phila address. If Mr Bentley is in the Navy Plot then there's a very good chance that he is already entered there and there may be a photo too.

Thanks for your kind consideration. Mt Moriah covers 154 Acres of land and there are 17,700++ entries so far
