38673521 Jamie Reed
Hello! This was my 2nd great grandmother. Her name was Martha Jane Reed Jones. Her husband was Wesley Allen Poole Jones. Her marker says Janie, but the listing 38673521 has her as Jamie. Could you change this to her full name of Martha Jane Reed or just Janie as her stone reads? Thank you!

You have it noted on the memorial for John Talbot Balch that he married Ada Marie Booker in 1945, but they were married before the 1940 census. He was also divorced at the time of his death.

Hello, Ms. Clemmer. I was going to ask if there would be any way you could transfer Ruth Shelton Walker's memorial over to my care? She was my grandmother.

Sorry, I know no one in Benton County. I only took the pictures. Sure makes things confusing.

Good luck on your quest.

Hi Mavis,

Would you mind if I use your photo of Jesse Thomas Weatherley (18668033) and Margaret Jane Burleson Weatherly on my Ancestry family tree? Margaret is one of my great aunts. I would, of course, credit you.

Max M. Haiflich, Jr.
Wife or Wives of John Oliver Huddleston
I asked Jerry Owen this, but he said he doesn't know and to contact you.

I have some questions about Andrews' Wife and the parentage of the children. According to my information, Andrew and Zadie Beard were married 10 Mar 1918 and he had a second wife, Virginie C. Street. I have not found any marriage licenses for Andrew nor have I found Andrew in the 1920 Census, but 1910 Census has him living with his parents. The 1930 Census lists his wife as Virginie C Huddleston, his mother-in-law as Mary C Street, and two children ages 6 and 10. The 1940 Census lists his wife as Vadie V Huddleston with three children, ages 9, 16, and 20.

1. Herbert L. Huddleston
2. Walter L. Huddleston
3. Andrew E. Huddleston

So, the questions is;
1. is Zadie's maiden name Beard or Street OR
2. Did Zadie's Mother marry twice OR
3. Did Andrew Elam Huddleston marry twice?

I have not been able to find any information to solve these questions? Any information would be appreciated.

Ray in Mississippi
Hi Mavis, A J. W. Ray is buried in Canaan Cemetery Benton Co Mississippi. I believe he is my great grand father. As you posted his grave on Find a Grave, do you have any additional information that would help me confirm or not that he is my Joe Ray. I also think that his daughter Ethel Leath and son-in-law are buried beside him. His wife Missouri Angelina may also be buried there but unmarked. I am new to Find a Grave so if this message is improper I apologize. Thanks Tom Owens

Morgans in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery
Dear Mavis, I was given your name by the Owens family regarding any historical / genealogical questions on the subject site and Morgan individuals buried within.

My interest is in two such individuals:

1. John Morgan, NC Militia, Revolutionary War, 1768-1844;

2. James Morgan, NC Militia, Revolutionary War, 1758-1851.

I am tracing the Morgan family both conventionally and genetically.

If you can help, please contact me at moles(at)

Regards, Martin Sewell
