Thanks so much, sorry about neglecting to include the number!
My JOhn Thomas #99991647 was the father of William R Thomas and the son of Robert Thomas. If you have any information on these three gentlemen I would really appreciate it.
thank you for you time,

I am wondering do you have documentation to verify John Thomas is the son of Robert? If so, if you would have anything stating William R Thomas is the son of John I would really appreciate you sharing it with me.
Thank you so much,

RE: Brock
I just made memorials for them earlier & I saw some info online about them that had your name on it. I just thought if you were related I would transfer them to you.

Cave Hill's database says she is buried in Section 9, Range 279. I believe another location is provided on her memorial.

Wm. Sylvester Robbins
Valerie---thank you for letting me know he's not listed in the grave records. I took over the management of his memorial from a more distant cousin, as I'm a direct descendant, but didn't change any of the info. Here's what we know. Sylvester, like his 2 brothers, served w/ the Federal 2nd Infantry Co. D.. They were stationed in the Somerset area, he was kicked by a horse, died, & was buried there, though the grave was not marked, if I recall correctly. I'll ask my cousin what family papers, if any, place him in Crab Orchard. If she doesn't have the hard data, I'll pull the cemetery name off his record. I know 2/3 of my 4th great-grandmother's boys were not buried in "home soil". Sylvester's brother died a POW at Andersonville, & is buried there. Thanks, again, for the heads-up. :)

John Thompson
Valerie - Wanted to let you know that I've made a few "suggested corrections" for John. According to census reports, he was born in 1839 and not 1847 as shown on his memorial page. I also added his wife, Delilah H. Painter and the date of marriage. Also added Molly Marie "Mare" Thompson McChesney as their daughter. Mare was married to my grand uncle, Emmett Budka McChesney. Hope all of this meets with your approval.

RE: Walden-Adams Cemetery
Thank you. This is my family. The cemetery is more accurately and properly described as being on land belonging to John and Elizabeth Walden, who are buried in the cemetery. They purchased the land in the early 1800s, and the house is theirs. John Q. Adams, their son-in-law, purchased the place from the estate after John Walden passed away. I will think about adding a further description.

RE: Mary Helen Stephens
Hi Valerie. Sorry I also meant to give you the Memorial number for Martha J. Stephens 32963541 which you posted the information on in flowers that listed Mary Helen Stephens Wisdom 32963406 as the daughter of Martha Jane Stephens. Thanks for your help.

Mary Helen Stephens
Hi, I don't think Andrew J. and Martha Jane Stephens are the parents of Mary Helen Stephens Wisdom Memorial # 32963406. This Mary Helen was born in Apil if 1882 and so was the son of Andrew and Martha Jane which is F. N. Stephens Memorial 41567790 who was born September 1982.

I double checked the Miner books and they only list the years. Someone must have sent me the specific dates and I updated the memorial, but I have no recollection of who it was or when they sent me the update, that memorial has been out there for two and a half years. If I find my source I will let you know.

The source for most of my Gallatin County entries is the Glen Miner Gallatin County Cemetery Books, which have been posted online. They are not 100% accurate but they are pretty good considering how damaged a lot of those stones were by the time they were read in the 1960s and 1970s. I don't know what their primary sources were but a lot of the people who added information to those books did a lot of other research to add to those entries. I would guess they had access to a lot of the family bibles, etc.

BTW, I will get to the correction for Susan Proctor but in the future please use the edit/SAC tab to send corrections. I get too many messages and in a lot of cases SACs left as messages scroll off the bottom of the page before I ever notice they are there and get to them.

I see your photo request for Sarah Elizabeth Deacon-Thompson in the Hopewell Cemetery in Macon County Missouri. Sarah is one of my ancestors. Due to the fact I live in Texas I don't have a picture yet.
If you like, send me an email and I will reply with a full list of "New" plat maps, sub-plat maps and a spread sheet of the entire cemetery. The old hand drawn maps are available at the following url.
Note, they are bit hard to read....
Note: Sarah is in Plat B, Sub-plat b1, row 2, with her daughter and grandchildren. Caroline Deacon-Thompson-Gunn.

Sarah's finagrave # 91656387
My finagrave # 47891671

Note. Her husband "Silas" has yet to be found.
Sarah is the daughter of Noah and Sarah Elizabeth Deacon. They are located in the Bowen cemetery in Knox county Mo. Sarah is linked to them..

RE: William Thompson
The Thompson side of my family probably goes back in KY into the late 1700's. Beginning with my dad, Walter Emmett Thompson, who was born in Somerset, KY, the line extends to his dad, Joseph (Joe) Thompson, who, I believe, was born in Rockcastle county, KY. His father was William (Wild Bill) Thompson, who had a most interesting history. According to family legend, Wild Bill had two families. The first family included my grandfather, Joe, along with his brothers and sisters, John Thompson, Gene Thompson, Sally Thompson, George Thompson (who moved to Sapulpa, OK), and others who I do not know. Wild Bill's second family, by a subsequent wife (the first one died) included Leonard Thompson, "Kitty Puss" Thompson, Earlou Thompson, and a multitude of siblings. Family legend says that Wild Bill sired almost 30 children. Some of the daughters married into the Mitchell family of Waynesburg, KY and my grandfather, Joe Thompson married into the Singleton family. Joe married Nona Mae Singleton, daughter of John Green Singleton. She is buried in Double Springs Cemetery, Waynesburg, KY. Joe Thompson is buried in the Riverside Cemetery at Clinton, IN. An interesting note, my paternal grandmother, Nona Mae, and my maternal grandmother, Josephine, were sisters, making me the offspring of first cousins. As you can tell, my knowledge is sketchy and needs to be filled out before I can create Find-a-grave memorials for everyone. That is my goal. I noted on William Thompson's death certificate that his father was either Tarton or Tarlton Thompson. Couldn't find any records for him. If he was born in KY, however, that would place him near to 1800 or perhaps earlier. Let me know what you think. Thanks a lot. Duane A. Thompson P.S. I'm 68 years old and running out of time. My legacy is going to be researching and recording my lineage for whoever may be interested in the future.
