I hadn't paid much attention to it, but there is something not quite right. Everyone has Sarah born in Reading, PA. All three children seem to have birthdates after marriage to Yergey. So I just don't know, possibly she had other children? Just don't know. Hope you can figure it out, not really any relation to me, so I will not be doing any research on that, just the basics.
Added by Jen on Sep 15, 2012 5:08 AM
Sarah married 12Nov1815 at Trinity Luthern church in Reading, Pa to Johannes Yergey. The 13Apr1836 in Circleville to William Britton. Then abt 1842 in Pickaway Co to Samuel Dresbach.
Her obit below states she came to this country a widow with three children, so although Harriet, Matilda and John carried the Yergey name, they may have a unknown father! She died 17Sep1874 in Circleville. Here is her obit.
Circleville Herald, Sept. 1874 Deaths
DRESBACH -- At the residence of her son-in-law, Bentley Groce, in Circleville township, on the 18th inst., Mrs. Sarah Dresbach, in her 77th year. She was thrice married and thrice a widow. Her first husband was John Yergey and they were married in Reading, Penn.; her second husband was William Britton; her third, Samuel Dresbach. She came to this county about forty years ago, when first a widow, with three children. Her funeral took place on Sunday."
Also I am sorry I told you wrong, Matilda wasn't married to Hugh Larimer, it was her sister Harriet. Harriet first married George Weaver, then Hugh Larimer. Sorry about that, shouldn't go by memory! Jen

|Jen||RE: John Henry Groce|
The first John Henry was a Captain in the civil war and died 1864. Many families use the same name for a deceased child. He is buried at Forest Cemetery in Circleville Find A Grave Memorial# 47150877. Matilda's last name is Yergey, after her husband died she remarried Hugh Larimer (my line). Her mother was Sarah, but her maiden name is Gossler, she married Johannes Yergey (also spelled Jorge). When he died she remarried twice, first to Samuel Britton, then to Samuel Dresbach.
Hope that helps,

Oh...well I went to your website that you have listed on your profile and it says that your husbands Grandfather is Alfred Smith, son of Jackson and Susan Miller??? If this is true then we are related, through marriage, your husband and I would be related by blood! Alfred is my great great grand uncle, his brother John Edward Smith is my great great grandfater!

Yes, I was aware of Martin's books. I was able to view two of the three editions of his Rural Rhymes series at the library. They cannot be checked out, due to their poor condition. I photographed some of the cemetery last summer, but the file was destroyed on my sim card. I am hoping to get out there in better weather and photograph more (after the burnoff occurs, whenever that might occur). Please feel free to send me any photos you might have. I am primarily working on my lineage of the Cave family at this point, and some other JaCo families. I would like to help develop founding family trees for Lone Jack, with some assistance, if you know of anyone able to do so. Thank you for the information on MDR.

|Juanita Sloan Lowrance||RE: Weddle Family|
No sorry not related. That will be an awesome gift. I did this for my six children the Christmas after their father passed. They refer to it as "The Book." I had saved every little note they had written to him, pictures of them together and several pieces of his military tour.
It took me 3 months back and forth to get copies but it was well worth the effort and expense. I think I still have found more for another book.
I had a ball, he would have been pleased. Good Luck in your searching.

Hello, While I was adding memorials and photos last night, I noticed the Sni Mills Holiness cemetary is listed twice in Findagrave. (Its listed as Sni-Mills Holiness cemetary and also Holiness cemetary) I see you have made some memorials for this cemetary and I just wanted to make you aware of it in case you were gonna add more. I left a message in the forums to the administrators so they can combine them into one. I had to go back and delete about 30 of my memorials cause they were already listed in the 2nd cemetary listing. Ron McCrehin

|Erlene Best (Bremmer)||Julia Bradley (Best)|
She is the daughter of George Mifflin Dallas Best, who is the son of John Best and Elizabeth Anderson.
John and Elizabeth had another son Isaac Best. He is my great great grandfather. This would make Julia my great aunt or cousin once removed. I think.
