|John T. Howren||William Houren|
My name is Fr. John Howren. I am a descendant of Michael George Houren - a brother to your William Houren in “Find-a-Grave.” I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the information you have about him on that page; it really help to put some missing pieces together regarding the Houren family and their ventures to Nebraska from Chicago - and them some making their way back to Illinois and others heading out to California.
I am currently working on his brand of the tree with his children from the first marriage to Elizabeth Phelan. In so doing, I was wondering…
In all the information I have about William I consistently see that his middle name was Henry (that on Census records, etc., his middle initial is H). In addition, his first born son is William Henry Houren, Jr.
And so with the middle name shown as “Francis” on Finda-a-Grave, I can’t help but wonder if there was some confusion with his brother Thomas Francis Houren (with whom William worked in both Chicago and in Nebraska and who also made his own way out to California) I kind of doubt their parents would have given both sons the same middle name.
I just thought I’d pass that on to you for your consideration.
Again, thank you for your work (and the marvelous pictures! My goodness!) of William and his 2nd wife Alice and her children.

|D & N Kirk||Transfer of memorial|
We will make a second request for transfer. We have a lot of family information for a bio. There were stories told by his father also have some old letters. We do not leave bios on other managers sites. We loose control of them and may need to make corrections or additions. Alternative, we will have to put it on his sons or his fathers site both of which we manage. Thanks for your consideration.

|Christine E Ivey||Sarah Davis Alsup #40485833|
I believe this to be the same Sarah Davis Alsup at Find A Grave #84944826 with a picture of her grave marker. I also believe her husband Anderson Alsup to be buried in the same cemetary with the grave marker pictured at Find A Grave #84944784.
You may want to have them merged or have their children transferred to the memorial pages showing their stones.

Thanks for linking my GGGrandfather to his father. We now have my mother, a McGavock linked back to James McGavock, the immigrant. We have done extensive research on this family and have been sharing it with others via Find A Grave. We are ready to add a extensive bio on James if your would transfer. We also will be linking other family members. Thanks for your consideration.

|Austrian Kolache||Glaser from Greeley Center,Nebraska|
You seem to be related, most possibly by marriage, to Glasers from Greeley Co. Nebraska. Would you have any contacts with living relatives by the names of Rita T.Glaser, or Anne Marie Glaser. (Their maiden Names) They may have a brother named Paul, amongst their large family.

|Julia (Merrick) Stiles||Hello!|
Hi Candyce, I know we are related somehow I'm just not sure how. I'm a daughter of Opal Brock, from TN. I noticed in your comments that you maintain the Ludwick Sells profile and I live in Dublin Ohio and take photos at the Dublin Cemetery - I would be interested in hearing if the Brock's are somehow connected to the Sell's. Thank you for your time.

These listings come from the Lutheran Cemetery transcript of graves on file with the Monticello-Union Library, a copy of which I will email you. August & Sophia are listed as being buried in Row 4 of the cemetery. They can be found on page 19 and I highlighted the listing. I just copied the records to findagrave from the cemetery transcript. I will request photos of the graves to gain more info as to whether there are headstones but I am unwilling to take them down unless sufficient evidence is presented that they are not buried there. Please contact the St James Lutheran Church in Reynolds, Indiana to confirm these burials.
