Bonnie's Daughter
McGavock Cemetery, TN
Have you visited the McGavock Cemetery in Williamson Co TN, where James and Lucinda (Ewing) McGavock, are buried? If so, is there a list of burials for this cemetery? I am trying to determine if their daughter Eliza is buried there.

Eliza Jane McGavock (1827-1868) married George Washington Armstrong in 1847. Their infant son George Turner Armstrong (1857-1858) is said to be buried in this cemetery.

Any help or direction you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Linda

Hardin-Williams family
We just had a service for a Williams family member who's mother or grandmother was married to John W. Hardin. Depending on your questions I may have some answers. While this family was giving me info for vital records it became clear that there is an amazingly large family tree, and ALOT of William Williams and William Williamsons :) let me know if I can help!!

RE: Marcus L. Hardin
Hello:
Marcus Linden Hardin is my grandmother (Gertrude Eura Hardin Phillips)'s father. His father was Richard Wiley Hardin or sometimes is Wiley Richard Hardin. He was born on the "wrong side of the sheets" as the old saying goes. He was the second husband of Catherine Courtland "C.C" Cobb. She had previously been married to Lycurgas Shepard. Both are buried in the old Mt Zion cemetery south of Enville.

When they went to apply for a marriage license, he went to his father and ask if he could use his real name of "Hardin" on the marriage license. Dick Hardin told him "you have always had my name and you can use it to marry." That is what my grandfather told everyone that ask and my grandmother also said the same. The only provable thing about his mother was "Mary" .... last name unknown for sure. In the 1870 census, he shows up in the household of George Washington Clayton. G W Clayton was married to a Mary O'Neal. Linden's grandfather was Jourdan C Hardin, etc.
I don't think this is the family you are looking for. But I hope this information helps someone in the family.

Mary Elizabeth Updike Hoy 88765075. You have her listed in Douglas Cemetery, when in fact, she is buried in Taylor Cemetery with her son. I have already emailed Chris Yoder and they have checked this out and she is indeed buried in Taylor Cemetery. They put the wrong cemetery in the obituary.
