RE: Henry Taylor Cemetery
Found it! My husband had a brainstorm. What I started with is Hwy 31A in Friendship Community, south end of Williams Hollow, cemetery on left on Marshall Davis Farm. This from the Giles Co Cemetery Records.

I did some more Google work and can give you some more info. If you look at 555 Wms Hollow Rd, go due east from the eastern side of the house, go over the barbed wire fence and it should be there within a few yards. The stones are scattered around.

If you go, would you take a photo of Lucy Worsham Taylor's marker? It's on the reverse side of Henry Taylor's. My husband misunderstood what I was asking and took two pics of Henry Taylor's marker.

GPS coordinates are (approx) 35.240265, -86.91278.

RE: Henry Taylor Cemetery
So sorry, wish I could. We lucked onto it by asking a random guy on the road. Turns out he was going close to there and offered to take us. It's on private property (fortunately a friend of this guy's). We had to cross a field of high grass and tackle vines and trees to finally get to it and then had to search. As you've guessed, it's not in the best of shape. There are no signs and no indications that there's a cemetery. You'll never find it unless someone takes you there.

I looked through all my stuff and tried to likely Google Earth searches, but no luck.

Rev. Warner Moore
I'll just send you an email if that's OK. I have so much info on Warner that it would probably be easier that way.

Rev. Warner Moore
Hi Cathy,

I fulfilled your photo request for Reverend Warner Moore in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, TN. You are free to use the photo in your book (provided you are still working on it) as you see fit.

I also happen to be Warner's 3rd great grandson. If you need any info on Warner, his Civil War service, or his post-war years, let me know and leave me a message on my member page. There's a good chance I know whatever it is you would be willing to ask about. My father has done extensive research on Warner's unit and the battles he was involved in during the war. You are also free to use to picture of Warner that I have posted to his memorial page.

Hope to hear from you!

Kathy sorry if I nearly overlooked your E-mail.

I am a little confused as to which Beasley Cemetery you are referring to, but I can list two of them.

This cemetery is on the right side of their steep driveway after you reach the bottom of their long lane. It is kinds not kept and a bunch of chickens & junk are around there. Folks in survival mode. (that's good) If there is a confederate soldier with a military marker he must be in an unmarked grave because I would have photographed it otherwise.

I assume though you are talking about John Beasley b. 1822. I have his headstone on the site:
Or maybe you are talking about Elijah Beasley in the Beasley-Fogg Cem across the road and ridge from the other one. It is hard to find in the woods. Use this link and copy it past it.

What kind of book are you working on?

Waldrop Cemetery - ileo TN
I was at the site yesterday - it is on private land and is not accessible.
Go on and go to Waldrop Cemetery in Giles Co. - you will find photos of these graves and the story of how hard it is to clear out the growth.
Hope those pictures help.

J G Caldwell
Hi Cathy,

Most of the people buried in the John Laird cemetery. Do you know why JG was buried there? He was the only Caldwell buried there.

It seems that most of the children buried there didn't have markers.

I love doing this work. I am obsessed with Family History (genealogy).

They keep bankers hours there but give them a call and they will help you get on 1-800-262-3787

Liles Edward Abernathy-Maplewood Cemetry
Likes Edward & Alice Petway Abernathy ar actually buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, TN.
On the web site - southernmiddletennesseecemeteries - you will find on his OBIT - at the top of the web site you can pull up over 50,000 obits - his being one of them. At the end of the obit - it sates that they are buried at Mt. Olivet. I thought you would want to check this out before you remove your request - he was taken to Maplewood first and then moved to Mt. Olivet - probably because of his prominence.
RD - Research Done.

John Rothrock
Cathy, did you ever receive your photo request for John Rothrock? I have just joined FindaGrave and my aim is make that cemetery my priority and see that all the requests are taken care of. I plan to go to the main cemetery this week and talk to the "highest up" person I can find and hopefully get some cooperation from them.

May I ask what book you are compiling? JF English was my 2nd great grandfather and I noticed you commented about using a photo of his marker in a book. Would be interested in learning more.
