Many thanks!
Jerry,

Thank you so much for your dedication in locating, photographing, uploading, and sourcing these graves, especially for the Steedley and Herrin families. It means a lot to me to find so many ancestors on these pages, and I always credit you whenever I use your photos.

All the best TO "the best!"

He is my great grandfather...Do you know where his gave in located in the cemetery? Several people have tried to find it but can't. Does the Cemetery have a map that would show where it is?

Thank your for advising me that my gravepage for Erick Johnson was a duplicate. I just do not know how that could have happened. I always check?? Would you be so kind and delete your page, as Erick is my relative who was married to my cousin, Mary Anne Roddenberry. I thank you for your help.

Wanda Crabb PANNELL
Thanks For the Transfer
Thank you were much for the transfer on Ethel and O. R. Brown. And your officer for assistance. I have not reached their children but have gaves down there on them. Only 1 out of 11 children that wandered down their from Rockdale Co when the local mill closed. My wife and I do almost exclusively only our family. Ethel's mother Ida Jordan keep detailed family records from 1873 to 1851. Went to my Uncle Charles and after he became ill to Aunt Jerri and now to me. If you are interested in Civil War History Ida's brother Uncle Jimmy Jordan has an Interesting bios I added. His mem # 111810973. I got his military records out of Salt Lake Utah to replace a crumbling old csa marker. He was actually shot 4 times and survived. Keep a vow not to cut his hair until the South was free again and lived to age 94 dying in 1937. I unwitting exposed the newspapers to sunlight and they unfortunately faded but did show his long following white hair with curls. My wife's family rode with Gen Forrest. Her ancestor was Capt John Crabb and several of his brothers. John C. Crabb was commanding officer of Co A, 1st Ga CAV, CSA mem 112325603. 1GA CAV had 7 companies with over thousand men total had175 battles & less than 50 officers and soldiers left on surrender by Gen Johnson to Gen Sherman. Noted several good souces. I highly recommend "That Devil Forrest: The Life of Lt Gen Nathan Bedford Forrest" by Dr John A. Wyeth,MD who went on to be a very famous surgeon after the war. It is available from amazon in paperback. Gen Forrestt is the only commanding officer never to lose a battle on either side. He had 30 horses shot out from under him and killed 31 Union Soldiers with pistol and sabre. Gen Grant dubbed him "Devil Forrest". Gen. Sherman said he was the most remarketable commander on either side. After the war they asked Gen Lee who was the best soldier in his command and he replied, "Sir, a man I have never even met. His name is Forrest". President Obama made it impossible to order grave markers shortly after he was elected. I ordered and placed several for our ancestors before he was elected.
