RE: jesse Bird I used their app to take this photo. Not sure if they will let you post onto find a grave but if you just want the image for yourself, you should be able to save it as a jpg onto your computer.

RE: James Wilson gravestone
You are more than welcome! Let me know if you want copies of the library citations that list it as unmarked. Or if you want a pic of the general area where it was located according to the books. Next time I go that way I would be more than happy to snap a shot of the general area or get some documents for you from the library in Greenfield.

I am a 3rd great grandson of Joseph Alexander 1766-1851. We have extensive information and new findings (from DNA and Floyd Owsley) about the true parentage of Joseph. Would be pleased to share with you if you are interested.

Hi George, I'm happy to provide the pic's for you. Your words of appreciation are also a pleasure to hear. I know we do this for fun, but it's nice to get a pat on the back.
I photographed the entire cemetery, so any memorials without pics will soon have them.
I have uncropped photos if you would like to have them.

RE: Elizabeth McReynolds Alexander
Cousin George,

Mary McReynolds Alexander is my 2nd great-grandaunt. Not sure which line you are in. I will send a report of the information I have to your email.

I have met several of our recent cousins. John Talmadge, b 1938, recently passed away. His wife is still a member of our church. I also found several other cousins in this line including Brown in Athens.

Doctors, and preachers, were frequent in most Alexander lines. I seem to be surrounded by them on all sides. Fortunately computers provided me an alternative as a career.

I see that you are a Maintainer for this tombstone on FindaGrave. Thank you.

I am a Maintainer for the same grave, under the name Joseph Alexander. I would be pleased to share my line of descent from Joseph. Are you also in this line? If so, you may already be aware of the recent new findings about Joseph's parents. DNA testing was an aid in this process.

Also, often we see Joseph mentioned as Joseph M Alexander or Joseph Martin Alexander, although no one can give me a source for this information. Recently I read the 1850 census page on which his son is shown as James M. Perhaps this is the source of an error?

In all my research I have never found a middle name or initial for Joseph, never found the use of "Sr" with his name, and his son Joseph M never appears as "Jr". I have found this son in my church in Atlanta, and his tombstone is on FindAGrave.

Someday I hope to sponsor a more permanent marker to accompany this slowly disappearing marker. I have readings of the marker by my father and others dating to c 1930.
