RE: Strangmeier
I would be honored to take care of our family member...I greatly appreciate folks like you who take the time to create the memorials, take the pictures, etc. My husband, son and I walked Prairie Lea Cemetery, as well as Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville today taking headstone photos...I think I've discovered a new workout! :)

Thanks again!

Merged Memorial
Thank you for your very quick responce. I think the memorial was merged, by Find A Grave, with one I had posted after yours. I do not think you are after "numbers" as other Find A Grave contributors are.
I would like to have my contribution of info. posted with this memorial.
Thanks for all your generous work posting New Wehdem memorials.

Bill Ward in Dallas

PS Why are the St. James memorials listed as Kenney, Texas and not New Wehdem, Austin Co., Texas?

Merging Memorials
Please give credit where credit is due. Bertha Wilhelmine Caroline Heckmann Dierking (Find A Grave #35622930), while first recorded on April 07, 2009, lacked any real substance other than a name and a date from the tombstone. While this maybe a service to some researchers your entry lacked any family connection, place of birth, place of death, etc. I have researched Washington County families for almost 20 years and I am appalled at the lack of detail accorded these entries. Some Find A Grave members seemed to be more interested in compiling large number of entries and OWNING THEM as if they are in some type of obsessive race (not you).
Please add my referrance William R. Ward (#21470148)

Thank You

You'd sent an SAC to me as well as posted to my profile - I prefer not to have corrections and transfer requests on my profile.

RE: Elisobet Deasing Gruss
By all means, whenever you have time and the weather is amenable. There's no urgency to my request...I appreciate whatever help you can provide whenever it's most appropriate to you.

All is good, thanks again so much!

Elisobet Deasing Gruss
Hi Fredericka,

I have a genealogical record of an Elisobet Deasing Gruss (19 Oct 1832-5 Dec 1907) noted as being buried in the Bell Settlement Cemetery in Fayette County Texas. This comes from a tree prepared by a distant relative who has since passed away. I'm trying to verify if this data is there a way you could visit that cemetery to find a marker for her? There is none listed under the current interments for this cemetery here on Findagrave...

Thank you so much in advance!

A.W. Watson
Frederica, thank you so much for transferring Mr. Watson's memorial to me! I've now been able to connect he and his wife. As far as we know, they had no known children. The other Watson's in Prairie Lea may be from his side of the family but I'm not sure yet.

Thanks again!

RE: Tiemann family
Fredericka, I do understand. Are you talking about Bernice Emshoff and Elsie Pieper? I am not that close and so much depends upon their interest. I am their half 2nd cousin once removed. (and I am sure they have never heard of me) I would like to get in touch with them and share the Honerkamp genealogy that I have compiled. Their grandfather, Henry Honerkamp was my great grandfather's half brother.

RE: Wash. Co. Gen./Cemetery project
I got a vague gleaming of the book. I know of the website and the printed version of it in the notebook at the library. I'm not a member. I've only lived here a year, and have been wary of joining since I might be the youngest one there. Also, I wouldn't always have the fee money.

I, of course, don't mind doing PL just for FindAGrave. I'm already doing it for that reason anyway. :)

Wash. Co. Gen./Cemetery project
I have been doing a section-by-section documentation of the marked burials in Prairie Lea Cemetery for Find A Grave, for my own amusement. If anyone in the project is interested in what I have (lots of newer burials), or copies of any photos, I would be willing to share what I have so far. I also have a few full cemeteries (Willow Grove, Carlie/Carlisle, Carter/Harge Road). They may run redundant with some of your lists, but I am willing to lend a hand if needed, especially with the "big dog."

Cemetery Name
Not being from the area, I need help on the correct name of St James Lutheran Church Cemetery of New Wehdem as named by "Cemeteries of Austin County Texas" by Gloria B. Mayfield, project manager and the name that you use St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery Kenney, Austin County, Texas. I feel sure they are the same cemetery, but the difference can lead to duplications on Find-A-Grave. Bill Honerkamp

RE: Caroline Campbell
By the way, do you happen to know where the Jackson Cemetery is? It is supposed to be north of La Bahia Rd and NW of the intersection of 105 and FM 912 but I have driven all over that area and can't locate it. It is likely on private property but I don't know what road the gate to the property is on.

RE: Caroline Campbell
Thank you! I actually found that in my subsequent trip to the library but could not figure out how to undue the "problem" message. I thought I would just take the picture and post it. I sure appreciate your help, however! Do you have your own copy of the Winfield book? I have been trying to find a copy of my own but the library in Brenham is sold out.
