I'm researching my Grandfather's heritage and came across your listing for my Great Uncle Mantford Edmonds (family spelling is Edmunds).
Could we possibly be related?

I was in Brevard this past weekend and was doing research on a few photo requests from the area. I came across yours for Elizabeth. I found the same death cert at the Registry of Deeds. Her death place is listed as Calvert (Kilpatrick & Sons as undertaker). It was suggested (by a local) that she could be in another cemetery toward Rosman, like Mt. Moriah, Cherryfield, or Greenwood as that is the area near what used to be Calvert. Is there a specific reason why you think she's at Oak Grove, or just an educated guess? I'll be in the area again in the next 30-60 days and would be happy to look in other places as my time permits, if you find other leads.

|Jenine Kimbler||Powell Creek Cemetery|
I ran across these people while photographing a cemetery in Boone County, West Virginia, and think they are part of your Holley family: Fred Holley 120380086; Carrie Powell Holley #120571858; C.W. Holley 22505647; Delphia Camp Holley 120573978. I believe Carrie Powell Holley is a cousin to your Nora Belle Powell Wolford. Two other cemeteries to look at are Powell Cemetery (with the "creek" on it) and Kentucky Knoll, both in Boone County and full of relatives. I have not finished Powell Cemetery, but there are quite a few posted. Thought you may be interested.

|Debra||Mahalia (Chapman) Black (1854 - 1941)|
Perhaps no one has taken a photo of her grave because you have her name spelled wrong. It is Mahala not Mahalia.
Please fix this typo.

|Sylvia Mintz Thomas||question about Sarah Mays Gillespie|
1st may I say thank you for all your Find-A-Grave work? It is so important to those of us who are researching from a distance.
I have a question about the information listed about Sarah Mays Gillespie who is buried at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church in Cleveland Co, NC, USA.
The info lists her as the widow of (w/o) Berry Ezell Hughes. I have been wrong MANY times, but I believe Mr Hughes was married to Sarah's daughter, Martha Jane Gillespie. Berry's records indicate that he died as a prisoner of war at Ft Delaware, a "Yankee Prison" of some negative report. Martha Jane apparently died in child birth of what seems to be their only daughter, Elmira Melissa "Malissie" Hughes who, in turn, married John Jackson Philbeck (JJ...also buried at Mt Pleasant). My husband is the great grandson of this union. As of late, we are unable to find the grave of "Malissie" but we are fairly confident that she is in an unmarked grave beside John Jackson in the Mt Pleasant cemetery.
You opinion is greatly appreciated, as fresh eyes make all the difference in genealogy work. Also, I note that you have the Haas family as an area of interest in your research. Is this the Haas family from the Earl and Blacksburg areas? I am a member of the Mintz Clan of the same area and there are connections with the Haas and Mintz families.
Again, thank you for any feedback you have about the above topics. I appreciate your time.

I don't mind filling any requests for this cemetery but you have to have location of the deceased. They will not provide me with the information.

I have added a photo of the marker but I can't verify dates as there are none on the marker for Tom or Rose. If this is not the correct marker, let me know and I will remove the photo and keep looking.

|Carrie Bias Hoffert||Claude Lonzo & Ruth (Bias) Chapman|
I am also a Family researcher living in Atlanta Area-Powder Springs to be exact.
You posted the Burial in Teays Hill Cemetery for Claude Lonzo and Ruth Bias Chapman. I am a Bias Family Researcher and I am trying to match Ruth Bias into our family lineage. Can you tell me any more about teh families of Claude and Ruth.
I cannot find a marriage record for them.....the closest I can find is for Alonzo and May Bias in 1926 in Kanaha Co.....I am wondering if Ruth could have been Ruth May Bias and Alonzo could have been Claude Alonzo Chapman?
Any info you may be able to share can really assist me.
You may email me directly at
Thanks for your time and also for posting the memorials.
