RE: Zachariah Beecher
Three of us went to the cemetery last week and photographed all of the stones - some of them definitely were a challenge, not only to photograph hidden amongst trees and bushes, but also to decipher. But, it was a great day, and glad to be able to post so many in that cemetery that were not yet done. I still have about 40 that I just can't decipher, so they will need to be foiled or something at some time in the future, and hopefully they will provide some clues as to who they are. You are quite welcome for the photo.

Susan Heneman Shatto 51849350
Scott: I just discovered Susan Shatto 51849350. Her bio indicates she was survived by her sister, Mrs. C.D. Miller. She would be my great-grandmother, Ida Nancy Henneman Miller. 132680259
My grandparents are also mentioned. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller. My question is who were Susan and Ida's parents? Do you know? Bio also mentions Laura Tolle, but I cannot find anything on her either. Thanks for your help. Susan Malloy

We are coming that way next month, do you think it would be possible to meet at the cemetery to help me find a grave??

We were there last month, we came all the way from Arizona and all we saw was the sign, no graves.

Now I see on here that you have to take the dirt path to find the graves.

If you can help us it will be so greatly appreciated

Many thanks Lynda

Have you any information on her marriage to Still?
Also, her 1888 marriage record to William Mell shows her as Ida Kuhn, not Koons, daughter of N. B. Kuhn.

Once again thanks so much for the edits on Laura Shatto Abergast's memorial. I'm like the hungry stray kitten who you think will go away if you put out a saucer of cream.

Will be back. Great working with you

Flora Edna Hay Schnyder Shatto
Hi Scott:

Thanks for the edits on Flora Shatto's memorial. Had a lot of fun figuring this one out. Should have mentioned in my suggested bio that with her second marriage she not only became her son-in-law's step-mother but also her daughter's mother-in-law. I think there's a country-western song in there somewhere.

Cheers, Barry

That did the trick, thanks! It was entirely in the opposite direction from what I gathered after reading that other person's notes.

RE: Annie Burkepile
Unfortunately, no, we don't know who she married..if she did! We had her as simply "Ann" Burkepile, daughter of John George Burkepile and Barbara (Messmore) Burkepile, born 30 Apr 1821 in Pennsylvania (not sure of county--the family had just moved a few years previous from Maryland); died 24 Jan 1893 (again, not sure where); no documentation that she married.

Ludolph Church Cemetery
Scott,
Since you live in Perry County and are a genealogy buff, I thought I'd ask you if you knew where Ludolph church cemetery is. Supposedly my great-great-great grandparents (John George and Barbara Burkepile) are buried there, but they're not listed on Find a Grave anywhere. The Find A Grave site for this cemetery does not give directions on how to find it. I have a photo of the church, and photos of these gravestones, taken by Don Burkepile, and his church photo does not look anything like the one at Find A Grave. Also, I have some rather vaque directions he was given on how to find the cemetery, located out of Elliottsburg which did not include road names, and I was unable to find it at Google Maps.
Hoping you can help,
Ruth Ellen Bartels

RE: Annie Burkepile
Scott,
Yes thank you so much. Now I can see the photos. I still don't know who Annie is, however, but at least now I know it's not the one I was asking about, since Burkepile is her married name. Maybe sometime the "spirits will align" or something, and I can learn what her maiden name was! (The Burkepile's of Pennsylvania, as far as I know, are all my family line--my paternal grandmother was a Burkepile. The name got mis-spelled and corrupted in dozens of forms as you can imagine!)

Regarding Find A Grave Memorial# 45816930, I'm wondering if this is our relative Ann Burkepile. We have her birth information different, however: as either April 15 or April 30 of 1821, not 1822. I believe there are some photos attached to this site, but they are not coming through...perhaps no longer meet Find A Grave criteria? I'd be most interested to see those photos.
