|bjrstonesearcher||RE: Your Rogers Connection|
My connection is through Henry Rogers and then his father, Simeon. Trying to find more documentation that Henry was Simeon's son and have other questions.
If you can email me so I could give you my tree information on Ancestry, I would like to discuss this part of my tree with a fellow DAR daughter.

If you are the Linda that I saw connected with the DAR, I too am a member. My family is the Rogers family. If you email me at email@example.com, I would like to ask you some specific information about your part of the tree. I have a brickwall and am interested to see if your tree would have some leads to help to verify my connection to Simeon Rogers. Right now my evidence is strongly presumptive. If you are not that Linda, could you let me know that too. Thank you.

Linda, I saw a message you had left about this cemetery and you said you have ancestors buried here. I thought you would love to see more about this cemetery. This website by Wayne Austin has many pictures and inscriptions listed.
Thanks Jack Eslick

|Randy Throneberry||RE: John Stephens|
I have not been to the cemetery. The cemetery is located on a hill with no public access. The best way to get to the cemetery is from Hilltop Road. You have to park at a private residence and walk to the cemetery which is only a short distance. It is neglected and over grown with vines and small brush. Some of the grave markers are down, moved or broken.
My g g g-grandparents are also buried in the cemetery. I have talked to a friend to see if we could get it cleaned up but the weather has been to hot that it would not be safe to try at this time. We may try to do it this fall if we can get some help to clean it up.
I have a list of interments though it may not be complete. I don't know who has a complete list of interments if one even exist. I have entered all the names that I have for the cemetery into Find A Grave.
I hope this helps with your search. If I can be of further assistance let me know.

If you would like me to transfer her memorial, just let me know. The McManuses are relations of another family member. Hope you find your g-grandfather!

The information on her memorial is from her death certificate. I could not find death information on her husband John S Stephens. I'm sorry, I have not visited Old Flat Creek.

I changed the marriage date, which was a typo on my part as I have a copy of the Sumner Co marriage record. Thanks for catching that. As for adding Buck...he was already listed on the bio?? So I just added a link to his page. Hope that's good enough as Gabbybug would have to link him to his parents. Thanks for using the "edit" tab as I only have a couple of minutes a day to work on Findagrave and I usually have 10-20 requests a week. It is SO much quicker. Sylvia

Can you please use the "edit" tab on the memorial to make corrections, additions, etc on the memorial, so I can look at the memorial you are talking about. Thanks! Sylvia

|Chris||RE: Aunt Elaine Dunning|
We are very close to being related, you're right!
Uncle Les has sole ownership of the farm since his younger brother Carl died. We still have a family reunion there the first weekend of October every year. It marks the anniversary of Grandpa Dunning's birth. He died when I was nine, but I have vivid memories of him.
Yes, Les and Virginia are the last living Dunning kids of my Grandmother's generation. And I have fond memories of Elaine. We went to visit she and Les when I was a little boy, maybe five or six years old.
Thanks for writing back!
