I'm sorry, I misspoke just now. I still think perhaps it should be Morgan Twp in Ashtabula, but that is, of course, not where the cemetery is located. I had just been working with another memorial in Union Cemetery in Morgan Twp, and brain-cramped! My apologies.

Me again. I am wondering if there is not an error in her death place. I think it should be Morgan Twp. in Ashtabula Co. OH, where the cemetery in located.

Hi! The parent links I have for her were the result of an earlier request to link her. I personally have no idea who her parents were, and will gladly change her info to whatever is accurate. Could you please tell me why you believe her parents should be changed? Thanks.

RE: William Taltavull
Thanks for your response.

I, too, have researched the location of Wm Taltavull, as I know that there is not a St Patrick's Cemetery in Montgomery County MD. His obituary states that there was a "Mass of Christian Burial" at St Patrick's Church (close to Casey House, the hospice house where he passed away) -- that means that a Mass was said at St Patrick's, not that there was literally a burial there. There is no cemetery associated with that church. And St Patrick's is not in Kensington, it is in Silver Spring/Rockville -- but, still, there is no cemetery there. The obituaries for him and for his wife do not name the cemetery -- in fact, his wife's obituary says "Burial is private".

Many of the Taltavulls are buried at Congressional Cemetery in DC. You might call there to see if Warren and his wife are buried there. If that does not provide the answer, then the location should be changed to Burial Unknown.

RE: Hohman
Yes the Casper and Veronica Hohman are parents of John Hohman who married Eva Cecelia Folk/Volk. They are parents of Theresa.

I don't know how all these Hohmans are related or if they are. Some were shoemakers and all say German. Could be related in Germany or not.

RE: Bertha A Schropp
P.S., on the spelling of the name, perhaps there are different versions of Bensinger/Brensinger extant (same as for Schropp/Schrope, etc.). I recall that Bertha's dad, Furman, signed his WW II draft registration "Bensinger." best wishes, Jim

RE: Bertha A Schropp
Thanks very much for your reply. We had a Schropp family reunion in PA this past weekend, and visited one of the wineries that have sprung up in Schuylkill Co. When the proprietors who poured our wine tastings learned our name, they mentioned that one of them had gone to school with an Audrey Schropp and the other with a Nannette Schropp. It appears to me that these must have been two of Ralph and Bertha's daughters. What a coincidence!

Frank B Hohman
Hi,

Wilhelmina(Minnie or Mina) Greenwalt Hohman(n)was Frank B. Hohman's mother. When I started genealogy on the Greenwalt Family, I discovered that his father was John Hohmann who died on 11 July 1899, not William Hohmann. His mother Wilhelmina and Frank B. and his five siblings lived next to William and his wife Maggie and their daughter Elsie in the Census of 1900. I was wondering if William who was an Uncle to Frank became a father figure to him.

Wilhelmina was listed has a Widow on this Census.
I have a copy of the census if you want a copy.

Frank B. Hohman(n) had the following siblings:

Margaret A Hohmann(1877-1941) married Charles Edward Shook(1890-1948). She is buried at Holy Family Cemetery.

Joseph Basil Hohmann(1881-1947) married Annie A. Schemm and they are buried at Mt.Olive Cemetery in Randallstown.

Amelia G. Hohmann(1883-?) married William Michael McAllister in 1907. He is buried at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. I don't know when she passed away and where she is buried.

Mary C. Hohmann (1886-?) Do not have any further information on her.

Katherine Rose Hohmann (1894-1942) married John Frederick Schaeffer in 1914. They are buried at Loudon Park Cemetery.

I have a copy of the Memorial for John Hohmann that Minnie Hohmann and his duaghter Mrs. Margaret Shook did on July 11, 1919 in the Pro Quest Historic Baltimore Sun Papers (1837-1986)for him.

I use to live in East Baltimore and my parents are buried along with my relatives at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. We use to attend St. James the Less Church on Aisquith and Eager Streets.

Sincerely,
Melanie Herr Greenwalt

RE: William M McAllister
I don't know if this is the same William M. McAllister or not. The one I have is married to a Amelia G. Hohmann. Their marriage license was issued on June 19, 1907. I know that he is buried at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. I have been unable to find her death record. I know that she died before 1955 per his obituary in ProQuest Historic Baltimore, The Sun Papers (1837-1986). You can get the ProQuest site on the Baltimore County Public Library Site or the Enoch Pratt Free Library Site.

I see that you have William M. McAllister at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery buried with his parents. He died on Oct. 4, 1955. He was married to an Amelia Gertrude Hohman. They were issued a marriage license in Towson on June 19, 1907. Per his obituary, she died before he did. I do not know where she is buried. She was from Randallstown, Maryland. Her brother Frank M. Hohman is buried also at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

RE: Kolbe
Thanks for linking August's father Joseph. I looked at all the Kolbes you have listed on Find A Grave. None of them are in my Kolbe family tree. I have worked with another family member and we are everyone descended from August and his brother Joseph. We do not know of any other children of Joesph Kolbe 91060024 that emigrated to the U.S. There were other Kolbe families in Philadelphia that were not related to Joseph Kolbe 91060024 or his decendants. I noticed August was the only Kolbe you listed that was not buried in Maryland. How did you come to think you are related to him?
