|Rebecca||RE: Elsie Belle|
Nice to hear from you. OK, is it Vernon or Virgil that Elsie was married to? My Dad always said Uncle Virgil and that he painted murals and designed movie theatres when they were works of art. Seems like everyone on Ancestry thinks it is Vernon. I hope it is Virgil because I have a beautiful picture of him and my goodness he was handsome. I know that they lived way down south of Fay and Nell Margaret and I will try and find out for sure for you as I have been wondering myself. There are also a lot of transplanted Pyeatt's in a cemetery in Santa Ana, CA. Fay and Nell Margaret were originally going to be buried there but changed their mind. I sold the two plots right before a Glen Pyeatt contacted me for one of the two for himself. He had worked on Thomas Pyeatt's ranch in Idaho and was a WWII vet.....Battle of the Bulge, Medic and drafted at 18. He is buried there as he just died within the last few years but not sure where. I sent flowers and cards but did not go.
Do you have a regular email as I have not figured out this Find a Grave site other than I took the adds of Donald Pyeatt's grave site.

Thank you for the time and effort you put in . If it wasn't for people like you it would be harder for people like me. I found people in St Clair County cemetery's I had look for years. I found my great grand mother's death certificate, went to the Osceola graveyard. the # above went to St Clair county graves and lo and behold I found your name on most. Thank you so much.

Not sure how to access the St Clair database you're talking about but it would be helpful. It has just been in the last week or so that I finally found what part of Missouri the Vaughn family had relocated to. I was on a trip in September and saw my aunt who is 86 years young and she gave me new leads to follow up on. So I started following and have found St Clair! Thank you for your help with the transfers. I will link them as I can, a cousin in law still has some of the family memorials but I can create an HTML link until my suggested links go through the proper channels. She doesn't come online anymore so I hope to get them transferred to me but for now I do what I can.
Thank you for the phone number and name, I will add him to my data base and maybe give him a call when I get through what I can on my own.

If you don't mind transferring the Vaughns to me that would be great. I have been trying to unravel and sort them out, they were a family that truly handed down names. So it has been a bit confusing but I have found some background info from my searches and it is possible he might have served in the war. But I will know once I get things all straight. My family tree seems to have a few crooked branches and the husband of the most recent Vaughn in my family has been quite the stinker!! His life seems to have been a lot of twists and turns, but I love the research.

I wanted to thank you for the transfers of my great granparents Mr & Mrs Vaughn.

Why not use the DC date at the top as the "DC date" and down in the bio use the "family recorded" date. It covers the bases. I don't need to "own" Bertha or her family. Thank you for the offer. I may add to the bio in the future.

I sent you a long answer, don't know if it got thru. Mom's records say 27 as Berthas birthday. I don't know if an official record exists other than family records. I' m new at this Find a Grave but trying to "give back."

|Alice||RE: Bertha Alice Gates Payton|
My info comes from my mother who knew her, visited in their home in 1930's and had to sleep in a hammock on their porch. Bertha Alice's father Albert was a brother of my great grandmother, Alice Gates Derr. (I am named for her). Their father was Horatio Oscar Gates (civil war vet).
Bertha was married 3 times
1. Henry Grey Purchase (Elk City Cem, Douglas, NE) widowed
2. Fred Stiles (Macedonia Cem, Osceola, St Clair) divorced
3. Benjamin Frank Peyton (Osceola Cem)
Bertha did not survive childbirth of a stillborn daughter, Betty Lou, and they died Aug 1934.
I will check my mothers records to be sure I didn't make a mistake in transcription. Nobody's perfect, including Frank Peyton who thought he was her second husband. Wonder how he reconciled the 2 Purchase kids and 2 Stiles kids. However I don't think the purchase kids ever left NE....maybe he really didn't know!

I've enjoyed looking at all of the memorials you have placed on F.A.G., I'm sure it will help many researchers in finding their family links.
Would you please link Lewis Offield Memorial # 29698855 to his father, Jesse Offield #123085570,
and his mother Mary Garland Offield # 132472438.

|Richard Parker||Richard Parker - phot request|
Good morning to you.
Doug, I have a photo request. I received an e-mail from a contributor named Farrar. She was requesting a tombstone photo of an Amanda Farrar, buried in the Brown Cemetery in your area. She believes the cemetery is on private land.
I know Amanda Farrar is listed in the St. Clair Cemetery Book, for I own her memorial and that the only place I could have gotten her name. You may want to check to be sure if I got the right cemetery name.
If there are any other Farrars in the cemetery, please, do their tombstones also.
Thank you for your time and trouble,
